500 Internal Server Error on post editing

I am getting a 500 Internal Server Error when attempting to edit this post. Doing a blank edit (no changes) still results in the same error. Cutting the post considerably by removing the Large games still results in the same error.

Are we having issues with server space, or is this something else?

Size of the post is the issue, no time to resolve it now, likely processing based not disk space based. I copied the post and couldn't post it regularly without getting a 500 also.

I cannot preview or save any existing wiki pages greater than 8,915 bytes in size (tested by trying various pages listed by Special:LongPages) without getting a 500 error. I cannot preview or save a new page of more than 9,074 bytes in size (tested by creating User:Toomai/test and adding repeating "1234567890"s.), this also gives a 500 error. Pasting those 9,074 bytes into this post gave me a 502 error instead.

I get a 500 Internal Server Error any time I attempt to send large PMs, so it's probably related to size. Although I'm mainly just posting this to feel like a part of something.

Well, now that we know that there's an error occurring, how does it get fixed? Do we need a simple server reset?

This error is very definitely related to size, I was doing a big post with a lot of quotes and getting a 500 error, upon deleting a few sentences it let me post.

This is obviously true, larger files just take longer to process though and I suspect that is the issue, not free disk space. We have like 3 terabytes free.

I went to test how many characters would elicit the response. The answer is 9852 as evidenced here

Not sure if it will help, but anytime I try to edit the 9851 to 9852 I get the error.
