1. I asked Mastin, not you and I don't see how any of that makes me town, nor do I see how the fight between us would be TvT and why you would think such as town, especially since I am very, very capable of duplicating the exact same thing as scum

I've finally figured out how to describe the difference between mastin-scum and mastin-town, and it's whimsy. He's just not good at faking reactions to things when he's scum - it lacks the whimsical nature his town posts usually have. Even when he's being completely serious as town, there's still a certain whimsy to how he approaches people and how he responds to people, and when he's scum it's just... flat. There's no life in his posts.

This is basically a prod dodge. I should be finished rereading through some things tomorrow or so, rather busy right now.

Fishy and I are in disagreement over Mara right now. When I was frustrated before I just gave in to his suspicion, but I really really like the "fuck it I want my birthday scum lynch". I mean that's fakeable sure, but it reminds me exactly how I felt in chef mafia. I had a scum read and I wanted it lynched for my birthday, so yeah that felt town to me. We are probably just going to have to agree to disagree on that one.

Mastin's posts are a big pile of plghthggvtvyhbt. I need to talk to fishy more about him too. I feel like I'm town reading people who like me and scum reading people who don't, which really isn't helpful. I just wish we had a scum flip to go off of. iWork so much better when I have something solid to work with.

She hates these decisions; you should remember that from Anything Goes, where she left the bulk of the posting to me there and chatted with me behind the scenes at 5p and 3p. Look at Rach's postings and tell me this is her scum game.

RBD, mastin's vagueness is making me think of her pushes in recent scum games. Whimsy-wise, to what extent would you expect there to be whimsy in her posts given her replacing in and us being in LyLo here? I don't associate her with whimsy per se, but the lack of specificity bugs.

I want to get a better sense of what Mhork's thinking, which should be soon, as he's wrapping midterms or something. Also waiting to hear from PFR more.

It's not so much whimsy in mastin's posts, but in the responses to people. When mastin's town, there's a relaxed tone in the way he responds to people, which comes across even when he feels he's being unfairly suspected. It's not happening here. Instead there's a sort of unnaturally aggressive tone in his responses. If I stop being lazy, I'll bring up some examples of what I'm talking about specifically.

Hmm…so one thing that is weirding me out right now is mastin's scum reading of siam but not voting there. It feels like he's keeping his bases open. I'm not sure what that means for siam though. I know that mastin hates bussing and when we were scum together in anything goes he was town reading all of us even though there were occasions when we weren't very town at all. So, I'm really not sure what to think but my paranoia button has kinda gone off. Um, with malariach not really doing anything though they've been in the near hot seat and mastin dancing around that scum read but not voting, I just don't know what to think. I mean I didn't think very highly of Mastin's predecessor anyway because they didn't do anything at all really except for kinda troll day one, and mastin hasn't made anything better. The most he did was vote for mindy whom I've had as pretty decently town since day two, and that not going anywhere and mastin pushing on the breaks is something that I just don't know what to think about right now. I really wish we had a scum flip to go off of right now so I had something solid because so far what i've reread day one is about what I thought before that there's not a whole lot to learn form it except for the fact that sometimes i get caught up in omgus and am terrible but beyond that there was a bunch of noise.

Anyway, i should be finished reading through stuff by tomorrow or thursday and hopefully will get a chance to run my ideas by fishy, but where I'm standing right now I don't see how my vote won't end up on mastin.

I know mastin2 can force AtE such that's it's OTT as scum, and I think the forcing thing lines up with what you're saying. I'd like to see what she says about Rach and how much she's read though before deciding. Last couple times mastin2's been scum, she's pushed my mislynch hard, planning it basically from the start, and seeing that happen in Micro 264 let me stop derping and make the right call. If she's scum here, she's given up on something that historically worked more than it failed, and given that said success stretches back like a year, it would surprise me.

Examples would be good, at your leisure. As long as your leisure's within a couple days, on account of deadline.

Our strongest town reads are mhork and mindy with us debating over paranoid whatever and the pirates as who else we think is town. The paranoia is sure doing a number on my confidence in fishy's read though with their earlier antics. I'd probably put Ms. Marangal over the pirates if it weren't for fishy though. I might have just called everyone town though because I just suck.

Actually all of mastin's responses to PFR feel like this. The reach-out feels like a, "i need to stop PFR scum reading me," thing more than a, "help me figure out the game!" thing. I could see mastin doing this as town, too, but there are some unnatural elements to it and the above quote feels like one of them. I feel this is something where I'd expect mastin to be more whimsical in the response and it didn't happen here.

This was really awkward. The concern for the unvoting (which was followed in mastin's next post by an explanation of how hard it is for scum to co-ordinate a quick lynch in 7p LyLo) didn't read genuine.

I mean, there's also the fact that I don't believe mastin would think I'm scum after reading my ISO properly, and the vagueness with which mastin has described my play so far (and called it scummy) doesn't make me feel better. Nor does mastin's absence in this thread while posting elsewhere make me feel good.

No. I've honestly been focusing mostly on sorting out my own stuff for the last week or so. Heck, I kinda have trouble remembering that I have games in Central Part. (I need to be in a mini normal and maybe a micro--I remember games much better when I need to check every forum. )
