@Mod - request Yiley prod...preferably with red hot poker.

A lot of games had their flow hard smashed by the loss. By the point we're sitting around debating a lock I think that's not a lock happening situation because it defeats the value of locking the thread in the first place. Mod should either lock asap, or not lock at all in my opinion. We're already past the sweet spot.

@Antihero - do you see the Bulb wagon picking up traction today, when and how?

@Pere - whom do you expect to leap onto the Smargaret wagon? What are you doing to facilitate this happening?

I'm all for a lock, too, mostly because I didn't actually get a chance to review anything before the site went down. Also seconding the request for a yiley prod.

Since you declined, probably not.

I'm tempted to change my vote to jello man just because of how annoyingly bad his play has been so far, but that's not really a good reason.

So, you have a scum read (Bulba) and an anti-town read (Jell-o) do you have any other scum reads?

You can make this easy for me. Were you and Zek inexplicably the only two scum in this game? I mean,
I thought it was you, Zek, and Zakk [PereV]
based on the assumption we had at least 3 scum but if you are trying to say there are only 2 scum and you are the second then I guess what you are suggesting makes sense. Otherwise, oddly enough, the order of lynches and the information those lynches provide matter to me. *shrug* What can I say? I'm old fashioned in that I like for my lynches to be based on proven information rather than mere speculation.

So I don't want to quote-strip and no one really wants me to quote strip. I'll just say that having read the game, my top two scum suspects are cxinlee and Antihero, the latter for Smudger's play in good part. The way both of them were defending/coaching Zekrom stood out. Some other people were town-reading him, sure, but those felt like active reads as opposed to looking for reasons why he just might, possibly, not be scum. Smudger's Day Two opening was awful, and Antihero's entrance didn't thrill me either. Antihero-wise, I'm also getting the kind of 'oh, he makes logical points, must be town' vibe I had the last two times I got snowed by Antihero-scum. Add to that the really soft push on cxinlee while not wanting to change his vote...I have little problem considering this the remaining scum team.

Current thoughts on everyone else:

Yates--leaning town. The more I read, the more I see the posting style I expect from Yates-town. It doesn't hurt that I agree with his assessment of Smudger.

Bulbazak--town; gut read. Not getting the agenda-pushing sense from the Bulbazak-scum I remember, and I don't see scumbuddy interactions with Zekrom.

T S O --town; gut read. No reason to go to bat so strongly for Zekrom, and his approach reminds me of FEA.

smargaret--Eh, if cxinlee is scum as I suspect smargaret pretty much has to be town or incredibly self-destructive scum. Going with town unless I get reason to think otherwise.

Yiley--With people having shown that they were willing to lynch elsewhere at the end of Day One, I'm pretty sure scum had little motive to come in and hammer their own role cop. I tend to think that any bussing was done early on when scum figured they'd have time to find plausible reasons to switch their votes. Given that we have a VT flipped, and given that we have no evidence of multiple scum groups, scum probably lost a ton of power with the role cop lynch. Yiley's been less than productive, but I'd lean slightly town.

PeregrineV--The Zakk case is weak, and I'm not getting scum-PV from his posts. I'll keep an eye out, but not interested in lynching today, post-unlocked thread shenanigans aside.

Thor665--Town; had plenty of clout to keep the Zekrom wagon suppressed and didn't. Probably other stuff too, but I don't think I have to persuade anyone of town-Thor right now.

BROseidon--Heh, not feeling super-confident in my read here. I like his interactions with other players. I also tend to think that BRO-scum down a teammate would have come into Day Two with a plan. Hesitantly leaning town. Pending more info, and I think he'll forgive my lack of a solid read here.

PV: re: , um, your point about #168 is wrong--smargaret did address Zekrom, just misnamed him Zakk. Which actually makes me think she's town, as scum shouldn't be mixing up their scum buddies unless she had the sheer misfortune to draw scum with Zakk and Zek, and if you're town, that obviously can't be the case...

And counting Zekrom's posts is pretty much a zero-sum game. None of them were more helpful than others, and having had the experience of playing in several Zekrom games and modding one, the line between anti-town Zekrom and scum Zekrom is rather blurred. So saying that he had lots of posts when smargaret made her posts doesn't really speak to their utility in the slightest.

UNVOTE: PV

Antihero-cxinlee interactions feel theatrical. I'm OK with this:

VOTE: cxinlee

That's L-1...

smargaret's was referring to Zakk's , not to Zekrom in any form. My question remains, why no attempt to scumhunt the biggest topic at the time?

The point was to show that the chance existed for smargaret to engage Zekrom to either scumhunt or defend him (if she thought he was town). She did none of that.

The emotional state stuff pretty clearly referenced Zek to me...? I can see it being read both ways.

The putting Zek in with three likely town players is more suspect. If my cxinlee read is wrong, then I'd agree with smargaret pressure. Although it's hard to criticize people not wanting to get on the Zekrom merry-go-round given his method of engagement.

But that's kind of my point. She had no trouble engaing the top three other posters with some sort of question, but not Zek.

Then throws in a single question at the guy who posted once?

Hard to envision a town mindset from that, esp. in light of the Zekrom scumflip.

There's nothing to mention.

I don't think scum intentionally tries to antagonize other players, or continue to post the same way when said players think you are antagonizing them.

Had a and took a stance on Zek that didn't seem to come from scum.

Is probably town, but is probably also going to be lynched today.

I don't have a strong enough town read to try to save him, but not seeing scum.

Would hammer him near deadline, but not my lynch of choice today.

Does that help?
