Okay, not quite sure how it's scummy to point out the truth, though. I guess you can say it's poor town play to do what I've been doing, I could buy that. But I don't think me pointing out a truth can inherently be scummy.

I think, in general, people have a very hard time distinguishing behind "scummy" and "not super town". If something is scummy, it means there's inherent scum motivation/anti-town motivation behind what they're doing. I fail to see where anything I've done in this game specifically has inherent anti-town motivation.

My "throw my hands up and say fuck it" mentality that has plagued my town games recently have noticeably only been with town teams who refuse to engage in a dialogue about things. I can't remember the last time I had a case presented against me as town. Most of those games, when I ask for cases/points for me to debate, someone (*cough*FATE*cough*) starts screaming about how asking for points/cases to defend myself against is scum motivated and I should be lynched immediately. You'll notice, out of everyone who has passively or actively attacked me this game, literally only one of them has tried to present any valid reasons against me. That person was Axxle, and his one reason he cited ended up falling to shit when I quoted a post I had already made to provide context. He even unvoted me afterwards.

This is exactly the shit I'm talking about.

Here's a log of the people who have attacked me this game or said I'm scum:

- Triforce: "One of Reck/Fate could be scum?" No reasons, no points, no foundation for that belief.
- Fate: has screamed for my lynch due to "lack of enthusiasm". That's it. He has yet to explain how that makes me scum.
- Eleven: "Don't actually believe Reck's claim". Ok... why? Nope. Nothing.
- UT: "I don't like your reaction to Fate catching your scum meta". Tried to engage, he dodged the question and is just putting it off until tomorrow
- Axxle: "Your reads are wishy washy" "How?" "Like this." "No I explained that context" "Oh ok unvote"
- Nuwen: "Reck is scum" ???? Just mentioned off hand with no fucking context or reasoning
- Eleven: "I could totally see Reck being an ActionDan buddy" ??? No reasons or points to be made just idle speculation
- Gamma: implies that if Fate dies overnight he'll go after me the next day. that's it
- Cheery Dog: "we're lynching Reck tomorrow" ??? no other post or anything even hints at a scum read on me

I think I missed a bunch but you see my point. Two people have presented any reasons for me being scum whatsoever: Axxle and UT. Axxle, upon actually engaging on that point, realized it was not valid and backed down. UT just plugged his ears and went LALALALALALA and ran away from it all. Everyone else has just idly tossed out a scum read or expressed willingness to lynch me with no reasons at all. I have no interest in or ability to defend myself against a wagon built on literally nothing tangible. And this happens over...and over...and over...and over again. On the rare chance I get a town willing to engage me and present reasons, I'm more than happy to engage and fight and discuss. But when most games go like this one, with a wagon built on nothing? Fuck it, why bother, they're clearly not.

I don't have to agree with Fate's argument to dislike your reaction to it. there's not an amount of dust you can kick up to make this fact go away.

You do when you specifically say "responding to someone catching you on your scum meta with excuses is scummy".

If you said "I don't like the tone you used" or something I'd get it. But your response to my reaction was that Fate had caught me on my scum meta, which informed my reaction to it.
