Because I'm leaning town on Sakura, and I'm freaking out about misaka and Candle, but objectively I know what bothers me isn't a slam-dunk scum tell. In fact, it's part of the doc job description, and it's probably why doc/other-protective is the role I most often seen forced to prematurely claim

And I understand a little better why players freak out at me wrt to spotting/wking/deflecting around PRs. When someone I don't

know

regularly does that in games pegs me as a pr and wk's me it's scary, because I fully understand why it's easier to spot PRs as scum and why it tends to be a scum ability that gets dragged into someone's town game.

And like pretty much everything about PRs at MS it's done here in an over the top, heavy handed way that makes me cringe and long for the subtleties of bygone eras.

Let's say we lynch me. I flip town.

There are four claimed night actions, Candle's doc, bc's gunsmith, PereV's follower, and Doduo's friendly neighbor. There also might be a scum roleblocker, in which case scum's only option is to roleblock the doc and kill Gunsmith. Candle also might be lying, in which case Candle pretends he is roleblocked and kills bc anyways. Doduo is free to confirm himself to our IC. PereV can try to guess who's making the kill I guess.

This leaves anti, DL, Candle, and PereV unconfirmed. If Doduo doesn't confirm himself as town, town lynches him and that clears Candle, and lynches between DL, anti, and PereV for 1/3 chance of winning. I'm starting to think that this is unlikely.

If Doduo does confirm himself as town, then we have to lynch scum twice in a row in the anti, DL, Candle, and PereV. I say we lynch Candle, and if the game continues, lynch between anti and DL. I'm starting to think that this is likely.

Read NY 169... Nacho used the exact same strategy that game on me to get me to townread him (I even whiteknighted him with my life without realizing he was scum), at the point this happened here NY 169 hadn't ended and Nacho hadn't flipped, so it makes sense for Nacho to do the exact same thing to cheap a townread on him from me.
