He'd never seen so many people migrating

from Katarina territory, but he couldn't blame them, considering the giant pillar of smoke on the horizon. Kyle wasn't privy to the motivations of whomever had the stones to start a war with people who knew how to make an island float, but it didn't take a fancy wizard-type to figure out that whatever was happening here in Nanza was, at least somewhat, related.

A shriek to his right brought him out of his reverie, and his peripheral vision caught a large purple blur even before he'd consciously known to turn toward it. He was rewarded with the giant visage of a tentacled crustacean, civilians scattering in its wake, entirely unlike the at-least

humanoid

creatures he'd dealt with prevously.

Kyle brought the sword out again, as he looked around: no reinforcements in sight.

He thought. A lesser man would have rushed clear of the horror before him, attempting to save his own life or gain some tactical advantage. But not Kyle of Nanza, the fool, standing in his suit of armor against impossible odds.
