I love running Lee Sin "support" bottom. It's actually really effective vs non hardcore CCer supports (so anything besides Leona/Thresh).
Edit: I use the term support loosely because it's more of a kill lane than anything, and if you cant stop the other adc from farming and/or get kills for your lane, then the other support will most likely (depending on the support I guess) be more useful than you in team fights.vezokpiraka: If you are playing on EUNE we can duo.

Well his just got too much of really good supports, with no real fall back that i can see.In post 30680, MrZepher wrote:Me neither honestly
bot lane is already pretty hard without somebody that can hard deny your damage.
he's not terribly difficult either
Chogath's stomp thing (essentially his R)
Yasuo's Wind Wall
Taric's Armor give (But can give MR as well)
A stun Skillshot that activates from other people attacking. (I see it as a leona that doesn't even need to go ham)
I'm not playing support once he comes in.Saved by my own stupidity \o/

Scumchat is on AIM, is separate etc. It's not super chatty anymore, but people do actually talk in there.

I had a fun time playing a bot game with ETL last night, if anyone else is low levels and wants to play with other terribad lowbies, add me. It was a nice break from the ARAM grind that I've been on.Ski mask? Check! Sawed off? Check! Guilty conscience, fear of death? Check! Check! Check!

And Sona (I don't even fucking know how) does like 1/2 of the enemy jinx's health from a Q and Passive AA early game (Level 2).Saved by my own stupidity \o/

Chesskid, what was your level of experience before playing ranked? Do you regret starting ranked when you did? How long did it take you to climb from your starting position to where you are now?
I know conventional wisdom is to get 250 normal wins before doing ranked to avoid bronze, but if climbing out is quick enough, I might risk it. I think our normal win count is kinda similar, so I am wondering if I would be in a position similar to you if I start ranked in a month or so.- Saki

if you place in silver you're at a fine position to start climbing
that means at least 6/7 wins out of 10 placements
really ranked is all about what happens in your placements and how your mmr ends up
easiest way to guaranteed silver is to duo with someone ranked high gold/plat or higher
s1>g5 is going to be hard but there's no way you can skip that short of duoing with diamond and winning all ten placements
(and from personal experience back in s2 I started ranked with 140 normal wins under my belt and i ended up with 950ish elo which is pretty much bronze and ended the season with 1450 which is equivalent to silver 1)retired

I was trash who played mostly ARAM because I really enjoy it so my mechanics were (and still are) quite bad, and I haven't had as much experience with SR as I'd like, so my decision making at various points in the game is bad, but it's definitely been improving a lot lately. In post 30694, Iecerint wrote:Chesskid, what was your level of experience before playing ranked? I've played around 100 ranked games, and I haven't really played normals since starting ranked - I'd say I've been climbing over the last 30-40 games, and the first 60 or so were just fucking around between bronze 3 and 4.
The problem is to get out, you have to carry. I picked up renekton and after sucking with him for my first 5 or so games I got better, and quite a few of my wins on the way up were because I shitstomped someone in lane and you can just crush midgame if it's basically a 4v5. That's not to say you're going to win every game, or even if you win lane that you're going to win the game, because I've had games where I go 4/1/1 in lane and their mid is 7/0 and then it's a long tough loss or a short brutal one, but if you smash your lane opponent you definitely win more than 50% and climb.
I know you're a support main, so I definitely recommend finding someone to duo your placements with you or waiting, because it's nearly impossible to carry a game in bronze as support, because bronze ADCs are trash.Papa Zito - "Your signature has been blanked...we remove signatures at a users request if said signature references them, or if it quotes from a thread in the Speakeasy, which is not allowed without permission of the poster"- chesskid3

But unless you have a friend who is significantly better than their mmr or is say a gold who is very good at carrying in a mid silver game and you can avoid feeding in the same, duoing in general is not worth it at all, because of how league adds to your teams MMR when you duo and it seems like everyone on your team feeds.Papa Zito - "Your signature has been blanked...we remove signatures at a users request if said signature references them, or if it quotes from a thread in the Speakeasy, which is not allowed without permission of the poster"- MrZepher

when you first play ranked your MMR is 1200 no matter what.
playing people way above your MMR and winning gives you a higher rating boost than playing people who are at your level or worse.
If you think it's time to play ranked then just play it. You'll get placed where you need to.
Being afraid of bronze is moot. If you're a bronze player you'll end up in bronze one way or another.or something like that....- chesskid3

I mean if you wait, play normals while you improve until you're not a bronze level player you wont end up in bronze.
Iece based on what I've seen from playing with you if you do your placements when you hit 30 you'll end up in bronze unless you get super lucky like ani.Papa Zito - "Your signature has been blanked...we remove signatures at a users request if said signature references them, or if it quotes from a thread in the Speakeasy, which is not allowed without permission of the poster" - chesskid3
