Fuck yeah, that's basically my other secret weapon as scum aside from situational awareness: sheer force of will. Situational awareness was okay in Anything Goes, but ultimately didn't win the game; sheer force of will was the true cause of victory.

Well both times i was third party i got screwed pretty hard (as sk, cop guiltied because scum wouldn't role block the claimed cop and lotr had unlynchable scum) and 519 was lol because the other scum faction killed me n1 and my partner forgot he was scum so didn't submit the kill that would have made it 2:1:1 and got lynched at 3:1:1

I've been third party a couple times, too. As a lyncher, went over very badly, getting lynched D1. (But that game was infamous because it was a Large Normal...and my target? Was a cult leader for a cultafia.) As a lyncher much later, pulled off a D2 win via cop guilty claim, which was miraculous given that we fakeclaimed a voting restriction...in a game modded by someone who stated an absolute hatred OF voting restrictions. I also played as a serial killer once, and lost that because we were forced to claim vig, and xRECKONERx (the scumbag who went on to win the game) advocated lynching us as being a serial killer. (He knew we were because we claimed vig and he shot us and we lived.)

Mixed bag. And, yeah. 172 was an example of a recent shit game of mine where I was scum and the loss mostly was on me for it. It was laziness, apathy, and most of all, very bad timing.

You waited a really long time to push on Mastin and it came at a time when the lynch was very, very likely and just needed a little extra push to see it through. You cited Mastin's posts reminding you of your own in NY169 for you changing your mind in the neighborhood which isn't really a strong reason. Your early posts D3 also had no pushes, no scumreads until the issue of Katsuki vs AP came up.

Fuck yes, this is a scum Nacho. I never knew he had such a weak-ass reasoning, and said reasoning is DEFINITELY not what a town-him would use to push someone like me.

He flat-out said he felt betrayed, and yet some bullshit like that is what he used? No. FUCK no. Nacho's scum.

This has been a very difficult game that I hope is on its way to being solved now.

I dunno my win rate is fairly average as both alignments but I tend not to care so much about winning as what I could have done differently to play better

the multiscum game i looked too town and got cross killed. 169 I got really lazy. 1543 I didn't take a step back to consider possibilities. Most other games though i don't think there was much i could do to change the outcome

every game I try to figure out where I went wrong and what I could have done better. it's the main force that drives me as a player.

and then we get into a lot of the psychological attributes I have - i never feel i'm good at anything. when i fail i always blame myself for everything, and i don't want to blame anyone else unless i tried my hardest and played my very best. i feel i'm never good enough and given all the heartbreak that seems to happen every game, i feel i never will be. it's directly by playing mafia that I try to overcome all this shit - and it's way harder to do so via mafia than anything else I've tried so far, but that's what makes it so appealing. but that's besides the point

recently I realized I should just start having fun with the game instead of beating myself up all the time, but I still want to absolutely try my hardest to improve. like I play way less seriously in hydra games

although in the case of me being scum, I know what my problem is and am literally incapable of fixing it bc I hate playing scum so damn much

there is a psychological barrier where i don't *want* to mislynch people but i have to

but it's also fun to lie to people and see what you can get away with

i treat playing scum like a game: see how many people you can get to town read you - that is almost all i care about as scum, now. 169 was the exception here where i got really lazy because i thought easy win (at least until the JK on generic happened, it probably would have been an easy win, too). but i decided not to let myself get that lazy as scum again

actually i think the psychological barrier for me as scum isn't so much that i don't want to mislynch people, but that i don't want to do anything that's seen as "scummy" and the more mislynches i push, the more likely it is someone will realise i'm scum

which is why i think i adopted the attitude i have towards bussing that i have; do it whenever it will make you look good, fuck your team, they're stepping stones to your victory. use them as you need.
