No matter how high the stakes, sooner or later you're just gonna have to go with your gut.
And maybe, just maybe, that'll take you right where you were supposed to be.

You want me lynched, talk to everyone else EXCEPT me since I'm not going to self vote and you need their votes.

Continuing to bait me isn't pro-town and it's distracting me from my original scum read.

Alright quick notes before bed. I have an exam tomorrow afternoon so I should crash soon.
These are mostly based on gut, I'll do a more thorough analysis in the morning but here are a couple (very) small observations.

Jake vs Nero strikes me, surprisingly enough, as Town vs Town. They are both experienced players, and no scum in their right mind would play so offensively.
I don't like the HunterSeeker self-vote one bit. Still no strong scum read though. We'll see after I look further into it.

I understand we're coming close to the deadline, so I'll hurry things up as best as I can. Cheers

But you posted elsewhere on site yesterday but not in here...

In the MD thread about lurking a couple people seem to agree that scum lurk through key moments in the game. I feel like the arguments between myself and Nero and AP & hunter both getting to L-1 would qualify as key moments of this game. Making a big case on you also qualifies as a key moment Imo , so was Nero hopping off random and voting you.

Sure you did post right around that time but nothing of value.

I really hope you are scum rach, I really do.

Dude seriously, I work from home as well as play, so having to reset the router umpteen times a day is VERY frustrating for all 3 of us. NS and I both work from home, and his son is a heavy duty gamer dude. Tempers are high around our house atm. For example, his son broke a huge TV he had bought on payments, and his cell phone, plus put some holes in his bedroom walls which we will have to fix before we leave here.

You realize every game I have ever played with you, you have a new excuse for why you are not posting regularly right? I can't recall a single game where I didn't accuse you of lurking.

I'm just not a big fan of teaching newbies bad habits. Lurking is already a huge problem on site.

I'm sorry you are having internet issues and a kid who wants to destroy shit but I'm playing a game here and I want to lynch scum and I can't read you cause you make yourself impossible to read. You always make yourself impossible to read. It's frustrating as hell

HS, claim in your next post.
Of course there's no absolutes, I know that. By offensively, I mean it in both sense. The first being actively scumhunting (ie offense), which of course scum will do. The second sense is offensive as in attacking people, offending them. Basically what I'm saying is,
in general
mafia won't play so aggressively. It's attention they don't need. And arguably the most attention right now is focused on the beef between Jake and Nero.

Obviously it's hard to point out specific posts where someone is acting "towny" as oppose to quoting scummy posts, but reading through their ISOs is only reinforcing my belief. Both seem town.

@Nero:
I don't quite understand your question.

Now for HunterSeeker.

There's too much to quote and analyze everything, but here are a few.
In post 58, HunterSeeker wrote:Now that I've found my first maf. It is time to read through to get our last maf XD.
I can't tell if this is joking or not. But it still rubs me the wrong way. Seems a little early for a confident statement like that. He provides no further read on Zawad which leads me to believe that this is more or less serious.
In post 62, HunterSeeker wrote:@Seraph: Nope no offense taken but I wish you'd take down your vote on me sooner than later because :D

...

And to answer your question - I didn't want to be too specific when answering fakespeare, lest this be used by the mafia this game or worse, by mafia against me. But if you really wanted to know, what has worked for me before, is to 'forget' you are mafia and 'forget' you have a partner while keeping an eye on opportunity to have town lynched :D. Playing mafia is really conflicting at times, on one hand you have to contribute and help town find mafia, the more genuine the efforts the better, but on the other hand you have to lynch people that you know are confirmed town to you.
Way too paranoid for town.
In post 310, HunterSeeker wrote:
In post 306, fakespeare wrote:I think Hunter is more scum.

VOTE: Hunter
VOTE: Fake

Fake, let's discuss, if you see the Nero/Random cross as not a town cross, and are willing to lynch one or even two of them today and tomorrow I'd be happy to vote along for reasons I stated above. But if you insist on tunneling me, you leave me no choice but to omgus this.
So basically...
"I'm pretty confident I've found scum and if I had support behind me, I'd vote them, but in stead I'm going to OMGUS defend myself from one vote."
In post 313, HunterSeeker wrote:
In post 312, tysker wrote:
@HS

You said your vote on fake was OMGUS and that he is tunneling, so you must think he is town. What's your vote on fake gonna accomplish?
And just to clarify: Do you think fake is town?
Eh what? No. Why would I vote a town, thats blatant anti-town. I omgused because he is tunneling as opposed to scumhunting which is scummy and the fact he is tunneling me is interfaring with my reads. So there.
Aaaaand scrambling to defend the OMGUS, contradicting what was said in the above quote.
In post 361, HunterSeeker wrote:Oh and by the way, IF i'm scum I'd claim PR when being lynched to potentially fish out a CC as everyone seem to sheep the "claim role when getting lynched thing". But since I'm not scum theefore I'm not going to claim anything but vanilla town (no use withholding this info as I already soft claimed non-pr town).
Hunter pls.
Town doesn't PR fish like this. It just isn't logical.
In post 555, HunterSeeker wrote:I would instant vote/lynch anyone that is lying and saying something that other people did not say counts as lying.
Wait... but aren't we supposed to lynch scum? Silly hunterseeker.

All this plus the self-vote and just a string of bad logic and frantic self-defense (ie "QUOTE ME QUOTE ME QUOTAUOASFASOF") lead me to believe HunterSeeker is scum OR newb-town.

That being said, I would not be averse to a hammer.

Like, I totes understand this but there are still players that are abrasive as scum. Does Jake do this as scum? idk yet. I'll prob meta him later. He may be just really bad town that's to headstrong to admit he's wrong but some of the stuff he's saying is just...I have a hard time seeing it coming from town. Calling me and Jake tvt 'cause we are arguing like an old married couple is fine but I wish you'd actually look at the arguments.
