Offended is the wrong word. But it's just that...A blindfolded toddler can beat bots...It's not really fun at all and doesn't require any strategy at all to win. I think about a year ago or more, me nikanor, ghostfrog, andrius and someone else, beat intermediate bots by proxying inside the enemy base. Also i misunderstood you, I thought you were calling for ganks not calling a role. I'd rage at you for needing a gank against bots too, but that's not the case. Butyeah there isn't really any reason to eh "play right" in a bot game, it's much more time effective to go 5 mid and shove the nexus for your win of the day. Also bots are so bad, you aren't getting any practice out of killing them.
@dramonic: Diamond Annie only? scrub Also Animorph doesn't play with that guy i don't think, He definitely doesn't play with him as much as he does with Me and G.
I think the text interface makes people seem more obnoxious than they really are. You can pick up on this by watching people streaming. They'll frequently have a perfectly positive attitude, but they'll type things that give a different impression.

Uh can't tell if you both mean to sound pretentious or if it's unintentional...either way, I specificaly was only talking about bot games and wasn't relating it to wider League of Legends, which I still play and still consider myself to have decent experience with / knowledge of so what does it matter to you if I talk about the game as a whole?

Didn't see this - yeah I know, in case you guys hadn't noticed I go for "fun" over "mentally challenging" or "requiring OODLES OF SKILLZ" when it comes to gaming so I know bots are easy to beat but it's still fun for me to think through how to beat things even if it's easy. I play more bots because the other players are the worst thing about League of Legends and I play bots because the other people I play with either prefer bots or don't mind playing bots themselves.
I'm also not amazingly good at the game but reread this post and you'll understand why I don't care.
The main reason I can think of to not jungle SR bots is that it's a mode designed for people who are just learning to lane, and whoever ends up 1v2 in top lane will probably have a demoralizing experience if they're new to the game. It's probably only relevant on beginner bots, though.
But I think they try to match non-30 vAI with non-30 vAI, so it's probably not an issue unless you queue with other players who are just starting.

This isn't quiiiite accurate.
It does weight things based on level a bit, but there's also a significantly higher chance of you playing with low level players if you have a low number of wins against bots.
Like I have roughly 20 wins or something, so if I decide to use bots to get my fwod because I'm feeling lazy, I'll regularly get level 20-25ish players.

The dota community is better by the slightest margin, a view opposite the one I had previously.
DOTA's community is only better because there are less people that play it so the toxic minority is smaller. Hyperbole and finger pointing are generally worse than what we see from LoL's community.
I'm of the opinion that the only reason DOTA is difficult is because there's an incredibly large disparity between people that know what's going on and people that don't.
There's not nearly as much mechanical skill once you understand how the game systems work (so many point and clicks/fast projectiles that the only way to avoid damage is to not be in a place where you can take it).
Bot games are worthless as a teaching aid because bots don't act like humans(good ones or bad ones). So even having a new player play bot games, is pretty useless. Cause it's not teaching them how to deal with the real threat(bronze players/bad under 30s). I watched this video on Rener and Rynor Gracie breaking down a street fight and how you should deal with it from a jiu-jitsu perspective. A lot of it was explaining the difference between a street fight and a professional fight. Someone who isn't a professional fighter is going to do certain things because they aren't comfortable in those situations. That's is similar to training against bots. Bots are generally gonna play safer than bronze players because the bots are trained to do so. So getting used to what bots do and dealing with that, is completely inapplicable to playing pvp. So you are actually doing a newer player a disservice by having them play games against bots.
Someone explain to me how to beat Caitlyn in lane. I don't see it. All I see is a walking free win.
EDIT: I have never won lane against a good Cait, and it is very rare for me to win games against one. Her combination of range and mobility makes her impossible to touch in lane without going oom.

Best advice i can give, count her AA's (and know how many for headshot) and know her animation for her Q, if she can't hit either of them on you then she can't do shit to you.

Just got a code for arcade hecarim. time to go play him like i actually know what i'm doing

Don't try to beat cait in lane. She is stronger than everything early so it's dang near impossible to win trades (unless you're quinn and use OP blind).
Maybe if lane circumstances allow you can kill her, but trying supersuperhard to beat something that's stronger than you just results in you being worse off than if you let her be strong.
