This was the IC talking so obviously he wasn't applying it to himself.

Nothing is absolute obviously but it's a great place to start. The fact that Thesp can't see that me trying to get him to stop asking those questions and to start scum hunting as being pro-town behavior to me proves he's not town himself. Nothing he's pointed out about me is anti- town, scummy, or even suspect. He's delusional or scum.
I'm not going to argue with him about it either. He's allowed his own opinion no matter how wrong it is.ShowThings I've learned.

Still not seeing as just applying it to something you do don't see as useful. It may be the case for some, but not others. Looking at the link for DDPD's post, while yes you can still give leeway to newbies for being new, it still applies the same to everyone, but then it's still all guesswork. In post 104, Jake from State Farm wrote:This was the IC talking so obviously he wasn't applying it to himself.

With Thesp here, I think he's lately gone for too much encouragement of other's questions rather than his own scumhunting, but he is still contributing.Everything happens for a reason, except maybe football.

Encouragement of others and no scumhunting looks pretty anti town IMO.
Let's look at some of his posts.
Post 43
Of course he's going to have to trust me on this one but I honestly was just skimming looking for questions and didn't read the whole post. He just assumed I did which is understandable. I'm notorious for doing skims and getting called out for half assing them.this post, which you presumably read, holds exactly the answers you're inquiring about
YetYou then complain about activity instead of doing something meaningful about it
So that accusation from him was a blatant lie.
This isn't true either ala my vote on TheGottemer. Go look through my games and you know that game avoidance is one of my pet peeves. You could be working to get us out of Random Voting Stage, but you're not.
There is this gem of a post.
Does anyone want the Random Voting Stage to extend for any protracted length of time? Does anyone feel they get particularly useful information from it, or learn anything about the people playing? Does anyone else have something they'd rather be doing with posts today other than asking and answering questions? I'm all ears, butso far it seems like very few people are actually being productive.
Yet he admits
The questions aren't productive cause they don't help him figure alignment. He does think that it may help him learn people's alignment.I'm not suggesting that the questions give away people's alignments right away. I am suggesting that they help me get to know players better, and that knowing players better helps me figure out who scum are.
Let's look to see if that's true.
Micro 311 - he was scum so no
Mini 1553 - no (he was on a scum lynch but only cause his lynch on TvK wasn't going through. TvK was town, also tried to lynch pisskop instead of BoKnows (SK) and said he didn't like a six lynch ( scum)
Newbie 1042 - no
Newbie 890 - he was scum
Mini 905 - he was scum
Mini 900 - game ended abruptly so no
Newbie 792 - wasn't on scum lynch and was left alive til end and lost so No.
Basically he has no reason to continue this charade because it doesn't actually help him find scum. It does stop people from playing the game because answering those questions isn't playing the game.
So just solely for the fact he lied about me is enough to confirm he's not pro- town. His lack of pro - town actions is just icing on the cake.
And that's all I'm going to say about it. I'm not changing my vote and I've provided evidence that's more than enough to create doubt of his alignment.ShowThings I've learned.

Ok, but the concept remains the same. Don't turn a good fun game into one of shooting accusations.Cheery Dog wrote:Actually Jake isn't looking at much motivation or stuff that actually effects this game, dammit now I'll have to look deeper into his, eh it can wait until the morning
As this would be out of thread communication, it's not actually allowed. At this point, Jake from State Farm is one vote away from being lynched. No one else should vote for him until he has had a chance to claim his role. After he has posted, we should evaluate how to proceed.
Jake from State Farm, claim or die.
TheGottemer, are you voting for Jake from State Farm because you think you think he's more likely to be scum, or because you think he's bad for the game? (Or something else?)"When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning." -Reiner Knizia

I'm not claiming until someone gives intent. Yet another bad example set by our IC. You never automatically claim when you get to l-1. You wait til somebody gives intent to hammer and asks for a claim.ShowThings I've learned.
