for me, its that even if its actually a gambit, its one that allows for scum slips to occur with no penalty assessed. if you flip town then there is definitely info that we can get from the gambit, but after a scum slip like that (gambit or not), i would have my vote on you until you were lynched. if I can't use scum slips to hunt scum, then the gambit completely ruins my ability to scum hunt.
