So I'm going to assume some of my reads are fairly obvious. Pants, Dan, Messiah Complex, DGB, all shouldn't need that much for a start. But here's some thread highlights for people.
Partly for who the vote is on, partly for the light interactions, partly for picking up on Slandaar's avatar and actually voting him thanks to it, I just found this vote to be a really, really town thing, along with the rest of the limited content from the slot.
Compare this to the others. PV continued scumhunting assuming that Sala had scumslipped. (He called sala #1, and other numbers after that = other scumreads of his.) Dr Pants and Messiah Complex both gave consolidation to Sala, thinking he was scum who legitimately scumslipped, and while bad for his faction, assured him that it happens to everyone and that the mistake was an easy one to make. They showed genuineness in their belief that Sala was scum who just slipped.
SKOT posted...this. Which is, essentially, boiled down, "lol, can't believe some idiot town just gave us that advantage".
↑ Bookitty wrote:I'm 90 percent sure that Sala is gambiting. I don't believe he would make this kind of mistake and I really don't think that, having done so, he would continue with the wide-eyed "deer caught in the headlights" persona after such a mistake. I don't understand the point of the gambit, though.
This reeked of scum who knew the answer already, town gambitting, and deciding to look better for it after the gambit was revealed.

I had the opposite reaction from Mastin; I was unhappy when I opened my role PM and it was red, but then I was happy when I figured it out. Pretty tricky
#3?
PV scumread it, too.
Now, you might also point out that PV scumread Dan, but
while PV never gave a reason, it's fair to surmise
(
edit:
actually, he did and I'm exactly right on this; I'm just saying in many sentences what he said in one) it was because Dan essentially ignored the Sala issue in his posting, which I saw in a similar vein to why I ignored it--a desire to accomplish something else not focused on Sala, when the whole Sala thing would be shown soon enough.
↑ Bookitty wrote:Sorry, Sala, that sucks.
VOTE: Salamence
Again, compare and contrast between Bookitty's post and Messiah/PV/Pants. The latter three all offered heartfelt posting. Bookitty delivered this flat post. And the whole reversal felt entirely faked, as if it was a justification to jump on--because Bookitty had an excuse to, now.
↑ Bookitty wrote: ↑ PeregrineV wrote:People ignoring a glaringly obvious scumslip by ignoring it and calling it gambitting are probably pissed-off buddies.
The fact that the guy ignoring it is voting the guy calling it a gambit is just one of those karma things.
Have you played with Salamence before, Peregrine?
Bookitty was perfectly aware, even when voting Salamance for scumclaiming, that Sala was still gambitting even after the scumclaim.
↑ Bookitty wrote:Yeah, because acting like a decent human being to a friend who screwed up in a game is totally alignment indicative.
Again, note the difference in reaction and a lot of assumptions going on. Messiah/Pants in particular gave "decent human being" reactions. Bookitty just gave, similar to SKOT, a "well sucks for you". I didn't even explain why Bookitty was a scumread. It was more for the hypocrisy and inconsistency than for this. But this very assumption is itself sketchy. Salamance himself said it best:
↑ Salamence20 wrote:You can't go from "Gambiting" to "Bye Bye Salamence". Oh yeah, you will probably say "But you said you slipped." And then I will say obviously I was gambiting boo, do you think I would be stupid enough to slip as scum. My scum game is too good for this. You slipped too, you got on the wagon way too early for a mislynch.
Dan is town. Pissed off and angry town because he knew that this was a dumb gambit. DGB is town for now just because he seems eager to be lynched.
Messiah's reaction read more town to me than everyone elses.
↑ BBmolla wrote:VOTE: Salamence20
He claimed scum, don't care if he retracted.
This by BBMolla was clearly policy. The thing that gives me hesitance is that policy-lynching is null itself, in that you can hide behind it easily as scum or legitimately think it right as town. I don't have the confidence in Molla knowledge to know if he'd have a preference.
