The Bulge wrote:Pie and Pants both look town to me. Every point they call out against one another is a valid point that gets shot down by an equally valid explanation.

@Pie - I'm curious... did you get any results from your Bulge/ns reaction test?

Yeah, I don't like this kind of assertion so early on. You can have a vote.

Yeah, I don't like this either.

You can see why someone could find your comment scummy...but you're going to vote him anyway because you don't like his comment/reasoning.

I asked how many MLs we have. I haven't actually played with an Arsonist before, shockingly.

if someone was like "Pie is scum because he's being obtuse about how the NKs work" I'd be like "ok yeah, I can see how you'd come to that conclusion, fair point (even if you're wrong)"

pants thinks I'm scum because "setup spec [is] scummy [because] it delays the start of actual content". so my response is "not only is it not setup spec (a common scum buzzword to throw around) but town should be on the same page with regards to how often we can be wrong, so why are you stopping this discussion"

me seeing how someone can find my comment scummy is apparently terrible (can everyone say with 100% honesty that they've never made a post they admitted sounded scummy?), but when Pants responds to me hunting people that 'hide' in RVS with "I do the same thing and you're doing it", apparently that logic is just A-OK.

sidenote - man I need to step up my scumgames or tone down my towngames, I'm being way too transparent and cooperative this game.

his reaction to "so we're all on the same page here, we still have 3 MLs til a loss right?" is "THIS DISCUSSION IS SCUMMY, STOP IT NOW /crossvotes"

This is stupid, and obviously not what my thought process was. Lets go over this:

1) you enter the game. you do not RVS vote, but do mention setup.
2) I give you the :igmeou: face
3) you ask why
4) I say, because you opened by mentioning setup
5) you say im scummy for using buzzwords, but claim to understand why your post is scummy

gonna be pedantic.

1) I enter the game, do not RVS vote, ask how many MLs we have, call one of ns/Bulge scum but not both.
2) you give me the :imgeou: face
3) I ask for your thought process
4) you say "setup spec [is] scummy [because] it delays the start of actual content"
5) I say you're scummy for using buzzwords, paired with only using the :igmeou: comment initially without elaboration, while noting that I can understand why someone could see my comment as scummy (and your reasoning was not that line of reasoning)

^some of this is biased and/or explained later but not initially. but I tried to keep it accurate.

then other stuff

earlier, you said this:
InflatablePie wrote:also I find that scum like to hide in RVS, so I like targeting those making cheeky comments and such

This is basically why I found your opening post scummy. No RVS vote, and while setup discussion can have utility, ultimately it can not be used for scum hunting in anyway.

In answer to your question, I believe we should get at least 4 mislynches, since arsonists would be 1 kill behind since they cant choose a target and kill on the same night.

I wasn't trying to use it for scumhunting. I was legitimately confused about my math. There's a reason I called [ns/Bulge] scum
in addition to that question
. I both attempted to begin scumhunting while also asking clarification on another point. So your point boils down to "I'm voting Pie because he didn't RVS vote", which that itself would be fine if I didn't think most players have the ability to leave RVS at this stage.

anyway

thank you for answering, does this mean if we lynch someone the arsonists primed we technically get 5 MLs?

how is this not ridiculously townsided?

alright now I'm gonna do something confusing.

unvote

if Pants is scum, my pressure should be enough to keep him on his toes for a bit. worst-case, if I get lynched later on because of my interactions with him, he'll be suspected heavier when I flip town.

that said, Pant's comment above on why my post was scummy, where he focuses on lack of vote and doesn't realize I'm asking a separate question while also beginning scumhunting/discussion-prompting, is giving me some townvibes. enough to pull me off him and stop tunneling for a bit. I can always vote him later.

vote The Bulge
