Based on the wiki entry it seems like it would be a weird character for either faction. Shardene is a snitch, but a minor character.

It's not about benefits. Not everything scum does is about benefits or scum motivation etc.

Think about it from a scum POV they have to think when only one kill goes through town will assume it was the scum kill and so will post with that view. Obviously not all scum will think like that but a lot will and looking at AH's posting, I pointed out what I believe to be scum doing that.
(It doesn't make a lot of sense to think PV was onto something)

scum has unique flavor for their kills so scum would know that the PV kill was doubled up on. This dismission that PV couldn't be a scum kill then is incorrect.

plus, as far a claims go, Clay Davis is a perfect fake claim. He was important to the show but was only in season 1 for about 5 minutes of screen time

SKOT's choice of fake claims suggest that there wasn't an available fake claim that matched RB. The only reason for this would be that either Toasty included poor fake claims, or that some one else had already used a fake claim that would work. Flavor wise, Clay Davis could totally be an RB.

myself, AC, and Xis all claimed PR's and important barksdale members. Anatole, Muffin, and MC all claimed lower ranking Barksdale members. Slandaar claimed a politician who had ties to the Barksdale organization.

As far as fake claims that could cover a PR like RB, Barksdale lieutenants and Politicians could all work

i'm starting to wifom myself out of the possibility titus is scum ironically because there's like zero interaction with skot whatsoever. 478/482 are literally the only mentions of skot, and then she never makes mention of skot again (no mentioning his posts, no mention of a read on him, no mention of him at all) and i'm kinda thinking titus is more likely to be conscious of her scum buddy rather than completely ignoring him like that. meh

(on a somewhat unrelated note, i finished watching season 1 of the wire over the weekend. iz ok. bit sad my dude did like nothing in the show except take a prison sentence like a boss which was pretty cool but still disappointing)
