possible, but atm its really hard for me to draw a read on maru. Lack of posts, but also because we just finished a game where i went after him for being scum and then he was vig shot and flipped town. So my "ability" to read maru is lacking.

if Pants is scum, my pressure should be enough to keep him on his toes for a bit. worst-case, if I get lynched later on because of my interactions with him, he'll be suspected heavier when I flip town.

that said, Pant's comment above on why my post was scummy, where he focuses on lack of vote and doesn't realize I'm asking a separate question while also beginning scumhunting/discussion-prompting, is giving me some townvibes. enough to pull me off him and stop tunneling for a bit. I can always vote him later.

tree is ~townvibes~ for some of his non-spammy statements (and even the spam feels slightly townie for some raisin). Bins is also town on gut, already talked about Bulge and Pants... but again, I don't have a concrete townread and I'm probably wrong and the mod is probably laughing at my terribleness.

... bleh, maybe maru's a better lynch today tbh but the way BBT's phrased his accusations towards me (see: most of 346) rub me the wrong way. it's the whole buzzwords thing all over again, instead in a more jumping-to-conclusions phrasing way and I want it dead. also we get pretty much no info from a Maru lynch if we assume either lynch is a scum lynch because he hasn't done diddly.

well, my gut is saying tree is town, because as I said, I'm assuming we're on the same page logic-wise. it's possible we could not be and tree's just being vague-scum but I cant shake my bias. so on paper he's null-scum, by gut he's town/null-town.

Idk about you guys, but reading through his whole ISO myself, I can't help but think it's a lot of scum trying not to commit strongly to too many townreads or scumreads so he can vote town without taking much heat for it. BBT makes a good point against Mala in 199, and keep in mind I might be showing bias because we now know BBT is town. He did vote Bulge way back in 57, thing is, that vote had a reason (and a valid one) so it can't be dismissed as RVS (as in, "you're going with the majority because you had an RVS vote you kept"). And he did outline 'policy lynch' in his post prior.


p9:

203 is the response from Mala. Sassy response makes me roll my eyes. "You were the first on Bulge but that doesn't make you town" doesn't address the whole majority thing. BBT points this out in 204.

Mala responds in 219-220 still dodging the point. Not liking this at all. She comes back in 222, much more frustrated. Since I don't see how someone could think 57 was pure RVS, I'm assuming she means she saw the vote on the VC and didn't instantly remember why the vote was there.

This combined with the knee-jerk reaction of calling BBT scum (call it OMGUS I don't care) makes me lean town on Mala, oddly. Also, consider that scum would double-over their posts and make sure their posts were mostly-flawless. Scum!Mala probably would have checked BBT's posts before calling him out on the 'majority' thing. It could be scum flinging mud, yes, but I'm thinking the opposite.

Ugh, I'm not liking "inb4 he repeatedly calls me scum for hammering". I don't, I don't, I don't. Something's telling me scum wouldn't do this reckless ask-before-you-do-it hammer because that's just too obvious. But Christ this looks bad.

Maru also says something odd here (419): "even when you're lynched, you don't leave the game", which implies he has a townread on BBT or knows he's going to flip town. When Bins questions him, he says "no, I think he'd not be so pissed off about his lynch if he were town."

It sounds like scum backpedaling here, covering his ass for when BBT flips town (oh I thought he was gonna flip scum) being that Maru was on the wagon.

BBT flat out said "there would be no active tree stump". So... yeah. "You are a better town player than this so this means you're scum." is terrible logic.

Like Bulge brings up again though (474), scum hammering there is... questionable. I find it much more likely that scum was

I've played one game with her as scum (Reckoning III Invitational), she hydra'd with Desperado IIRC and was busy with work so I don't remember how she played that game. explained why Bulge looks better (dunno where, go find it in my iso)

re: 317 - nope, that's coming from someone who hates when people use "Oh My God yoU Suck" as the term for a counter-vote. OMGUS is a counter-vote with the reason being, well, OMGUS. a countervote is not necessarily the same.

re: 389 - stop saying hedging, that's simply me admitting that Maru is probably the better lynch but I could go either way and leaning BBT for ~reasons~ and Maru lynch is information-less. yes, I realize scum like to have the ability to be flexible, but it does not mean that flexibility is scum.

b) I just did a complete reread of the game and I would NOT put this much effort in as scum. See: Reckoning III Invitational (Mala played in it), Timeshift II (Pants played in it). I

c) I've been trying to solve games by PoE as town lately, only example I can think of off the top of my head is a Newbie I SE'd in, don't remember the # and too lazy to look it up but it had RachMarie and Grib in it. go find my games through my topics and skim. This game is much harder to 'solve' because I'm having trouble getting reads on most of the playerlist.
