FourTrouble is fairly strongly misrepresenting Baboon's case about the OMGUS by saying it's 'just OMGUS.'

The point is not that FT's vote on Baboon was OMGUS, but that FT was unwilling to openly OMGUS, so tried to manufacture a bullshit 'connection' between me and Baboon to disguise it. Trying to disguise your real intent = scummy. I probably agree that the 'stealing the point' argument is weak. As for the 'strength of read' thing, town are overconfident all the time. Also, the 'I'm now positive FT is scum' comes directly in response to this sequence of posts:

If you think about it, I'd be much more distrustful of 5-off if I were mafia and he town (i.e. I wouldn't trust a word he says about claims/setup). But as town, I didn't really think about whether he was lying as town. I considered the possibility he was scum but that was the extent of my distrust. If you think about it, that's arguably a town-tell on my part.

As scum I'd be wary. Defensive. As town, I didn't think about it until later. Initially, I was more paranoid he was scum.

The FT posts in this sequence seem pretty damning. It's full of WIFOM and makes no sense - there is literally no reason to believe that scum should be more willing to buy the possibility of 'lying town' than town. And we know that FT ignored the fact that

5-off lied as town in their previous game together.

Why would you discount this possibility, when you have good meta evidence for it?

. That seems the simplest explanation. This is the strongest part of the FT case at the moment, and I can definitely see a town player becoming 'positive' about his scumminess as a result.

I can buy that FT thinks passivity is less of a scumtell than a 'contrived thought process' (ie poor logic) is. But that doesn't come close to suggesting that Baboon is scum for believing the opposite and scumhunting in accordance with what they believe.

5-off could be right or wrong. Being wrong does not mean lying. It is day 1. Unless someone knows something they should not, it's best to scumhunt the hood players individually. It is too early to know Day 1.

I felt like Baboon was taking stances just for the sake of taking them. I was still figuring things out. I didn't have anything concrete yet. When they referred to the Intern PM, I felt somewhat better about them, since I could then understand where they were coming from on Lissa. I remembered her excitement there. I dunno what else to say about that. I was also substantially impaired that night from excessive alcohol consumption, which may have played a part in it.

Was 205 before they posted about Lissa in the Intern PM. I understood that read after they explained. I was more concerned with the others -- particularly Fonz and myself -- since I know I was town and suspected Fonz, both those weren't making sense.

205 was after their post on Lissa, but I'm pretty sure I hadn't read their 203 yet. I wanted to see if their reads had any substance or if they were just taking stances, since you'll often see scum be too "stancy," as I said before.
