Yeah, I saw the lists a page back or two.

I'll check my owned champ pool when I get back then you guys should give me suggestions for which ones from each role to learn along with a basic idea of how to build them itemization wise? That would be really helpful.

Fuck thresh and the hooks he rode in on. (I actually totally forgot about him but I was hoping to learn a slightly tankier support character, as opposed to a grabber like him or blitzcrank)

Braum, Leona, or Taric would fit the bill. Braum is a tanky disengage (like Janna, but tankier and less slippery), Leona is a tanky engage, and Taric is an aura tank whose aura is relevant mostly against teams that have disproportionate physical damage.

You also might want to pick exactly 1-2 top/jungle/mid champions to experiment with so you can start to learn those match-ups. If you like supporting, you might want to try learning a support-oriented character in those positions. Orianna/Lulu/Kayle might serve this purpose in solo lanes while a tanky jungler might serve this purpose in the jungle. I've had a lot of success with jungle Maokai despite the meta putting him in top lane right now, and you can use some of the same peeling patterns in team fights that you've learned from playing support.

I guess you could also just play Morgana mid, though.

I've never seen Dan do solo lane Nami.

I do this too. That's why my champ pool is so small.

Also I should do Nami top/mid more though last time I was against a fizz in which I won the lane... but that's all I could do.

Panzerjager, in a PM wrote:Subject: League of Legends

Maestro wrote:Also, I dunno if you (Panzer) can read this, but I'd appreciate it if you weren't a dick to friends I invite to inhauses to fill up spots. DatLamp is used to playing with myself and a bunch of RL friends who play *for fun* and I don't care if he just shrugged you off - in general people only want to be told they suck if what follows is helpful, positive advice about how to not suck... and even then they usually only appreciate this if they asked for it first.

Regardless of whether he was around or not, we've established (or I've decided, reading your bile in this thread) that you don't play for fun like I do... like some of my friends do. So don't impose your judgement and negativity on people who don't want or need it. I barely wanted to deal with you in this thread; why would he want to deal with your shit in a game he came to enjoy?

Your friend started shit talking me dude, "I would have crushed my lane even if you didn't help me lee". I told him that wasn't true cause he is an awful fizz and I was actually ahead in cs and bullying him around lane until rayfrost and a bad jungler put me 2 levels behind. So hey man, judge me all you want, tell me I "spew bile" in thread(which is actually untrue), but I help more bad players than just about anyone else in that thread, oh and I'm boosting your friends account(a 200 dollar job) for fucking free for the fun of it. So hey, don't judge me, and definitely don't judge me in front of people in a forum that you know I can't respond to you like a little bitch.

I didn't notice that he started shit talking you, but what you quoted hardly necessitates the kind of response you gave to somebody you didn't even know. If it were a scummer I could at least accept the familiarity with which you accosted him, but he's a friend so I feel some kind of responsibility, I guess. I wasn't watching his lane, I don't know how his CS was or how much jungle help he needed, and I'm not trying to judge or accuse you too much.

When I said you "spew bile"... I was admittedly still pissed at my own failings in that last game, so I apologize. But quite honestly, even Jason (and others) saying the godawful stupid shit they say, about being OCE Bronze and sad about it --- even that doesn't require you to be a dick in the thread. You're not "help[ing] more bad players" by saying the things you say to people like Jason. You're just making more people want to put you on ignore and that to me is toxicity at its most pure. I know you're boosting *****, and yeah I'm sure he'll love having Victorious Morgana. It really is very nice of you to do it, but as you say it's fun for you. I dislike people who hold enjoyable volunteer work up on a pedestal; it's nice that you're doing it but in the end it just says that you like doing things you enjoy. It doesn't altogether impress me.

As to your last point, I thought I mentioned I'd be posting anything you sent to me here - I never intended for the dialogue I wanted to have to be private or anything, sorry if it came across that way. I'll continue posting the unedited stuff you respond with to the thread if you like. I'm still just mainly concerned with how people treat my friends when I try to involve them in a community full of people I like and respect. :]

All I said was that he was bad and had no shot if the fed plat guy didn't gank my lane
, i'm not even sure how that's accosting someone. I think you're oversensitive. Also, don't bring your friend's to in houses. Also I have 1500 posts in this thread, A LOT of it is focused on helping people get better, but if someone is annoying like Animorph or Jason Wazza where everything is OP and they ask for help than refuse to take it, why should I give them anything but a rude reaction?

Bolded is mine for emphasis --- even that isn't warranted at all. In general, my response to most of what you're talking about here is this:

Image

Like this dude, you don't always need to respond at all. It's your choice; it's your responsibility to make whatever you respond with either constructive or just make the responsible choice to not say anything at all. Isn't that, like, the Silver Rule or something?

Golden Rule:
"Treat others how you wish to be treated"
Silver Rule:
"If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"
This is a thing now.

Anything that doesn't follow that? Toxic, being a jerk / dick / asshole, whatever you want to call it based on how severe you are with your comments. It's just common courtesy too...

Also RE: friends in inhauses - when I invited him, we were at 9 / 10 with no other Scummers on and no other potential invites from anybody,
AND
he'd invited me to a game moments before so I felt bad and wanted to include him. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that and there's nothing you can say that could convince me otherwise. I'm not gonna sit around playing nothing just because some people would rather flame people they can then also come flame on the forums.

I mean I agree with Panzer that if RL friends are playing inhouses then they kinda take what comes.

I didn't see what happened but I find that most games I've played inhouse with Panzer he's been pretty ok? Might just be an outlier.

Panzer is banned because of posts he made in this thread. He absolutely deserved the ban. HOWEVER, it doesn't seem like a good idea to post someone else's PM's in the thread, especially when they can't actively post. Especially especially when you are responding to them in this thread that they can't post in instead of justttttttt responding to the PM.

Regardless, I don't see an issue with having 1 or 2 non-scummers join a ScummerLoLgame.

Lil G didn'st art out as a scummer either, afterall~

Any etiquette questions of posting a tempbanned user's PMs into a thread they were timed out from aside, I'd edit out the stuff about any alleged "boosting" since that could actually get someone's account banned if a user here wanted to be nasty and do a little homework- and it's not the person you're having an argument with. I've seen it happen on SA a couple times, and it's always been the boosted account that goes down when the internet detectives try to nail the booster.

Not that anyone here would do anything like that.

It's not dirty laundry. I had an isolated concern about how he talked to a single friend one time, he made the point that he couldn't post in this thread himself, why is it wrong to communicate this way? If it being public was his concern, this solves it. I didn't PM him to begin with because I didn't think it would be that huge of an issue to just say "hey don't talk to my friend like an ass plz".

Why does that or the original Silver Rule I posted make me unpleasant?

RE: boosting - their name hasn't been mentioned so what can they find out from this thread? Also, lil g, the person being boosted was told that they couldn't be punished because Panzer's not going it for money, he's doing it for fun. It's just like letting somebody else play on your account for fun (which isn't illegal as far as I know?), except the person playing instead of you just happens to be better than you. What's wrong with that?

Why? The first part just seems blatantly rude and unnecessary. I agree though, he's been fun to play with often enough in-game, I only mentioned thread stuff (where that hasn't been the case) because it seemed relevant for some reason. My only issue in-game was how he talked to DatLamp after that one game.
