this is the player you called a townbeard. :/

I'm curious as to the implication you're trying to make here

As I said, it seemed weird. It had literally no impact on the game. No-one at all seemed to react to it, it didn't given the Honey wagon any momentum, he disappeared for a few pages after making it then, on returning didn't say anything about Honey. It's as if it hadn't happened. Normally, when someone switches from the top wagon to the second-biggest within a day of deadline, it has some kind of effect on the game. That's bizarre and I don't really know what to make of it. (I guess the lack of votecounts had something to do with it).

Anatole only mentions Honey once more after voting her. Read ISO 175-187, from the vote to the end of the day. Anatole seems to spend all this time talking about side issues, and basically none of it talking about who to lynch. It's possible that this is a townie who doesn't see much difference between the major wagons. But to compare that with my own mindset, I was pretty much agonising between ND and Honey in terms of who's the better compromise lynch if I can't get people to acquiesce in an FT lynch, and he just doesn't seem bothered.

This resonates.

AK there is nothing inside knowledge there.

This is just plain wrong.

Nati provided fake claims ON REQUEST in TWO bastard games of his I've played. I think that was also the case in the Final Radiant Tales game, too, but I wasn't scum in that game.

heh.

I've been staying with family in the bible belt for 4 months and I've been evangelized morning noon and night, when it's not just assumed I'm a right thinking republican voting churchgoing teapartying and upstanding member of the community. "radio preacher" has some negative irl vibes atm.

but to answer your question I've gone back to the sign up thread and this

A flavor-lite experimental mini by me.
This game has an undisclosed bastard element to it, but I will not lie to the players.

This was my blurb. Please note an emphasis on 'experimental'. The bastard mechanic only applies to the hidden mechanic, the rest of the setup is normal. 13p, no pre-ins.

lays those concerns pretty much to rest.

2) I thought one of FT and Honey were likely scum, and was willing to vote either. FT asked me to switch back to Honey and I went with it because I had a gut scumread on her all game. I thought the FT wagon had merit based on the reasoning I explained in post 1640. I also have had a weird feeling about nashville just due to loose threads so I was willing to vote her too - if she had been lynched and come up scum it would have more or less telegraphed the alignments of several slots.

3) Yes. Most importantly, I started to townread Lissa when she finally posted her reads, but after the lynch/flip of Honey I felt that her vote on Honey was bussing, and preparation for that is why I think she kept stalling posting her reads. I started feeling worse and worse about Nash and IHNC and better about Cutty. I was townreading Gossamer yesterday but the night results you and nash described and the second kill have me worried about that slot. I don't think F-16 is mafia but a killing third party is possible. The end of the day made me feel better about Baboon, who I don't think would have defended or townread Honey so obviously and so consistently if they were scum. My reads haven't really changed on anyone else - I've explained why I thought Csareo/Oka was town in the aftermath of his claim and his vote/case on my flavor that ended in the concession of a mod error.

Re 3, why Lissa's vote in particular? I feel like by your logic on her I should be equally suspect.

This bothers me because I feel like if you're town then you should be more concerned about getting an accurate read than "act like it is scum".

I can't be bothered by hydras falling back on the card of, we disagree because we are two players.

IT would be better if the hydras didn't keep arguing on the scum reads and fighting over stuff.

can't tell what you mean by "suspect of me". I was asking you why you apparently didn't find my HB vote timing suspicious.

oka you're obviously following the game pretty closely.

You asked for others' scumreads so you could focus on isos. What came of that?

Argh

Hopefully I can get some good reads by doing that. I'm better at getting good reads, especially scumreads, a bit later in the game, so hopefully I will be able to get better reads now.

I still yet to get someone's readlist so I can iso. Other than Nash, some cutty, and some Anatole that is about it I have on possible scumreads by other players.

In my day 2 catch up so far (on page 91 now), I've seen reads, including a few reads lists.

This also bothers me. You're johnny on the spot when your name is posted, but so far I'm not getting much impression that you're processing the game.

I think I also want to look at Nashville, actually.

Ffer - my role implies scum either have RB or bulletproof/ascetic because there is a qualifier that if/when I do submit my night action, it is unstoppable except by divine intervention. That, combined with the way nash described their night action and subsequent camera issues and the lack of any meaningful results all around make me pretty confident.

divine intervention sort of sounds like there could be an interrelationship between your role and fonz's.

At first I was thinking that a blessing could be an "item", but that doesn't pass the sniff test.

We have time and I'll discuss other reads later but I want to talk about Nashville:

I get the suspicion there and the concerns about them but there are two things that make me sure that they are town:

1) The way Mala initially tried to sort Tammy was incredibly genuine and knowing Mala as both town and scum, I think it is well outside the range of what scum-Mala is able to fake. It felt like she truly wanted to figure out our affiliation and was doing all sorts of odd and unusual things to get a read on us. As scum, Mala is a rather low profile player. She doesn't bring attention to herself. She pops in once in while to post decent-looking analysis of the game. She is emotionally more subdued than she is as town.

2) I talked about this one already but the way she voted us at the start of D2 for a claim.

I haven't figured out who I want to lynch but I strongly prefer that we not lynch Nashville Dreams and consider other alternatives. I'd be shocked if they flipped scum.
