amumu/ramus don't actually have bad scaling. Malphites scaling isn't so bad either, though worse than those 2. The reason they build tanky isn't because they can't scale, it's because when you are melee you need to be tanky.

One more thing to note:

IF you definitely want to catch someone but you are the only one close enough to do anything, run into them and ult yourself. Not only do you knock them up, but while you are big you have a slowing aura for 7 seconds that starts out at 30%.

I remember one game where I was at one bar of HP and their cait was full health while our Elise was coming around the corner. Their support had seen him and was running away but I whimsy'd into the ADC so the ADC stayed to fight because I looked like a free kill. I then ulted myself, which gave me tons of health while knocking her up and by the time our Elise got there she could kill her. It's a very easy tactic that I don't see a lot of lulu players employ but is hilarious when you execute it well!

Note: Do NOT do this to start a teamfight. It just gets you killed.

Brandi, thanks for the Lulu guide. I've only played her a couple of times when she was free, and I always felt really terrible at her. I've been tempted to get her and try to learn her, and your insight is gonna be super helpful in doing that. <3

Generally I agree. Though it's still situational. I've started teamfights alone with this maneuver and won them. One exceptionally great time was when the enemy team was taking baron and I was the closest one to go in to stop it. My popping everyone up gave my team time to catch up, steal baron, and kill some of them~ But I wouldn't have done it if I didn't have faith in my team.

Spellthief. I'm saying leave the item at it's starting level and don't upgrade it. I updated my post with my reasoning.
Having tested using it fully upgraded for dozens of games with and without, I find other items better.
I find the spellthief to be an overall more useful starting gold item compared to the others on Lulu. But the upgrades aren't needed.

I think the problem you'll find is your fully upgrading it, getting it to the second tier gives you the 5 extra gold per stack, all for 500 gold.

Might just be me and the fact that pink wards never get cleared in silver.

I didn't say it was gold inefficient. Though the fact that it no longer gives 4 gp/10 when upgraded is still saddening.But I generally want at least 1 pink on my first back as well as SS. sometimes I can't even afford that. But SS should always be your first priority. And trying to get the item upgraded will just cause you to forego more important things like pinks/boots1/cup.

Also getting 1/2 cookies every back is good when you can. Even with a cup I still end up getting a few pots into mid game because you often want to stick around after fights to go for objectives.

Oh yeah i'm just saying an earlier investment (before cup, after ss) is probably where you want to be upgrading it, personally i only upgrade it fully on champions that can use the slow efficiently (something that Lulu really can't)

And yes i do clear pinks, but there are rarely pinks that are put down, when i ranked i see maybe 2 pinks max on the map, and one of them are mine.

(inb4 someone looks up my nami game and mentions the FQC, that was my first time on her as a bought champion and the game had a troll premade, the passive for FQC probably isn't the best for nami.)
