The story begins......in the year 2024. By that time, BlueTooth communication became quite famous and wide spread all over the world. To everyone's amazement, these chips and devices became so cheap that almost everyone had one. They were simple and so easy to use, that this technology completely replaced the entire cellphone concept.
One of the billions of users was Dr. "Mad Mach" Nick; and his latest published essay offered a new administrative method for monitoring patients in mental hospitals, just like his. His article recieved both positive and negative critiques, but eventually, couldn't reach the super-high levels of administration. So, he decided to try and implement his thoughts on his own. He bought almost a thousand BT earpieces with his own money, and shared them with the entirity of the Asylum. Staff, patients, everyone had at least one. The idea was to make this a kind of walkie-talkie, so that staff can get immediate contact with every patient.
The method worked very well. The Asylum flourished, and he was glorified all over the medical press. But one day, this euphoria came to an abrupt end. Nick fell severely sick, and could not even be diagnosed well; his disease was contagious and it created a massive Ebola-like epidemic in the hospital, and it closed shut to prevent an outbreak. Eventually, almost everyone died. Only 3 doctors and 13 patients survived; and to prevent further contamination, the docs pushed dozens of bodies into the freezing water in the pool room - where, in the 1950's, patients were dipped repeatedly as treatment, in the thought that physical pain will help overcome mental pain.
The police and medical forces were still scared, though. They wouldn't let anyone get out until they were sure that nobody - NOBODY - is still infected. They sent inside some aid - food, medicine and fresh water every passing day - but still kept the 16 survivors locked inside.

Locked in the Asylum.

About a week later, one of the doctors was found dead - murdered; and the next day - another. Panic roamed in the institution - these murders come from inside. The last doctor alive was frustrated more than everyone - fearing of a very same future. And eventually - after three more days - his fears came to life; he was found, in a similar way to the others - dead, with signs of food poisoning as the cause of death.

Today - there are still thirteen patients in the asylum. They are all alive and well - but apparantly, one or more of them have murdered the doctors. In what left of their sanity, the patients are determined(or rather, pretend to be) to find the killers and eliminate them - before

they

eliminate the others.

GAME MECHANICS

Later that week....The remaining lunatics discuss with each other and decide to never split up too much. If anyone splits, it has to be to a group of three or more - so that the killer cannot make another murder without getting compromised. They will all stay together in the evening and sleep at the same location at night, and so, will keep their own safety. "Smart move," said one of them - he, like almost everyone - believed that he was in fact, sane, and that he does not belong there. "..we must be able to keep it up until the outsiders let us go". But little did he know..
Crazy J, Loony Luna and the one who was called in the corridors "The Sicko from Moscow", were one of those threes that always had to keep together. Fortunately - or not - The Sicko from Moscow was *truly* a genious. He managed to notice some details that nobody else had; and during one conversation in the kitchen, he just got it - and pointed to Crazy J, saying "It was you. You were the one who killed the last doc". Crazy J denied at first, but then, when he understood he was caught, he rushed to grab a knife and---
"I killed the other," The Sicko said, with a wierd, intriguing grin on his face - looking at Crazy J directly in the eyes, ignoring the giant knife he's almost sticking in his neck. Crazy J froze right there - and after a moment they both stopped, smiled, and looked at Luna. "How comes you're so calm about this?" Asked J. Luna answered simply, smiling quite...politely? If that's even possible - "I killed the the first one. This is pretty cool," she said.

This conversation has continued. The three decided that, while each is unable to kill the other two in the trio - they should team up, and kill the rest together. The plan was to meet for coffee every evening, so it's a really easy case of poisoning. It's not like town will ever learn - they're crazy, right?

The conversation in the kitchen has taken place in a face-to-face manner; privately. Scum are now(during pregame) discussing their plans. They have three days to do that.

Pregame deadline, or in other words,

MORNING PHASE

. During that time, the living lunatics communicate using their BlueTooth earpieces.

This phase will last at least 3 real-life days.

[*] During this phase, players

may vote to drink coffee

as mentioned in the above post. Should majority of the players vote for coffee before 3 real-life days pass, the phase will end immediately at the 3-day mark.

[*] The scum team needs to choose their kill and submit that to me

during the Morning Phase. After a majority of the players has voted to drink coffee, the sun sets. It shall then be the

EVENING PHASE

, or in the name mentioned above, the

COFFEE PHASE

. The mafia kill has to be submitted before the Coffee Phase; if no such kill has been submitted until the phase has arrived, nobody will be poisoned when drinking, so there will be no nightkill.

[*] The

Coffee Phase

will last 48 hours at maximum. Players can vote each other during this phase, and a lynch will occur when majority has been reached. If no such majority has happened, the day will end with no lynch.

[*] If a majority to get into Coffee Phase does not rise, everyone drinks their coffee alone. That means that the NK shall happen, and a lynch shall not.

[*] The scum are part of the lunatics; meaning they, too, communicate through the BlueTooth earpieces. In order to not be recognized, they distort their voice when talking to each other, and obviously do not say their names - but still, everyone hears that; both during the day and during the night.

If Scum talk at night...they're probably awake..

This means that the scum QT is effectively available for everyone.

I received lots of questions about game mechanics, so here's a brief easy explanation:
1. Now it is pregame. Scum have 3 days to plan everything. From then on, they will not be able to communicate privately at all.
2. Once day starts there are 72 hours in which game is still. You all can vote for coffee during this time, but not each other.
3. After 72 hours pass, I count votes for coffee. If that number is half+1(rounded down) or more, we will enter coffee phase immediately.
4. During the morning phase, aka, BEFORE the coffee phase, scum need to poison their target. If they do not manage to do that, nobody will die at night.
5. Coffee phase lasts 48 hours PRECISELY. In it, you may vote each other and get a lynch done. If that doesn't happen, nobody gets lynched, and night comes.
6. At night, any night actions may happen.
7. Day starts again: the poisoned dies, night actions resolve. start from 2. again.

Effectively, instead of:
day:lynch+flip:night(kill):flip+day:lynch.....
this one goes
day:kill:lynch+flip:night:flip+day:kill:....

It seems as the Day Phase is a lot different from what I've seen, unless I'm reading the rules incorrectly.

- Currently we're in the Morning Phase, which is a three day period that when it ends, leads to the Evening Phase or otherwise called the Coffee Phase. It's not like a normal phase, we don't lynch anyone during this phase (although hypothetical vote counts for people are provided). Scums have to send in their kill via PM during the morning phase.

- Voting Let's Drink Coffee speeds us up to the Evening Phase, which lasts forty-eight hours and does so if we get a majority of people voting Let's Drink Coffee. This is the time where we lynch someone by reaching a majority much like normal Mafia games.

Hopefully this clarifies things a little.
