To join a game, type "/in for Micro 12" and you'll be placed in that game. You may simply "/in to play," but /ins for a specific game will take precedence.
Players may only be alive in three Micro Games at a time.
Only games that are currently in signups in Post #1 will have /ins counted. For example, if you /in for Micro 7, but Micro 4 and 5 are the games currently in signups, then you will not be placed in a game. "/in for next" will also only apply until the current games in signups are full. For example, if 4 and 5 are already full and 6 and 7 have not yet been put into signups when you post "/in for next", you will not be automatically placed in Micro 6.
In accordance with Normal guidelines, hydras may not play in Normal games.
There is no experience requirement to sign up for a Micro Game. However, if you're new to mafia, playing through a Newbie Game first is recommended.
If you notice a player who flakes regularly, or who has poor activity in multiple games (particularly if they are in more than the three-game limit), please report them!
Moderators:
To
sign up
to moderate a Micro Game, you must have moderated at least one other game onsite.
You may only be in the queue with one game at a time. You may mod up to two Micro games at once. You may also be currently modding one game, and have another in the queue.
To sign up as a moderator, please fill out this form and post it in the thread:
Moderators may run a closed Normal game, an Open game of their own design or something off the wiki, or a Theme game.
Upon entering the queue, mods should be prepared to go into signups, so opening posts, flavor and role PMs should already be created. (UPicks are an exception to this rule.)
You may have up to 66% of your slots filled via pre-/in.
Any game that does not fill within 7 days will be removed from signups.
Moderators gain 1/3 of a game's worth of experience for running a Micro Game.
Micro Normals must be reviewed by the Normal Review Group. They will be listed in a separate queue, and will be placed in signups as reviews are completed.
Micro Games:
Micro Games must be between 4-9 players in size. (Exceptions can be made for smaller games in limited cases.)
If running an Open game, all role PM's must be posted in the OP or there must be a link to the setup's wiki page. If running a Normal game, it should comply to the Normal Guidelines.
I will update this thread approximately 3 times per week.
If you have a question about the Queue or Micro Games in general, feel free to ask here or send me a PM.
It's the boneheaded five-player response to We Need a Fifth that's taken over face-to-face meets! Informed minority, you say? Adorable! You haven't lived until you've hacked through the jungle of bullshit and made it out the other side.
Welcome to the new Micro Queue thread! I figured 400 games and 350 pages was a good time to do some housekeeping.
Mostly, this is just a new thread. The rules in the OP have been updated, however. Much of it was wording changes, or re-ordering the rules in a more logical way. However, there have been a few important changes. They are as follows:
Micro Normals are now required to be reviewed by the Normal Review Group, just like all other Normals on-site.
Micro Normals will be kept in a separate list, and placed into signups as their reviews are completed.
Let me know if you have any questions. Otherwise, happy mafia-ing!
