Meta me. Self-consciousness is not alignment indicative. I am a self-conscious person as either alignment.

Mostly because I am still learning the game and trying to figure out what is scum/town play in my own posts so I can find it easier in others.

Right now, the only thing I really have to go on when trying to figure out a person's alignment is whether they seem to have an agenda, but that isn't reliable because town can have an agenda too.

Hell, one of the most frustrating things about this game is that every time I think I find a scum tell, I see town doing the same thing later on.

It's maddening.

I didn't say shit about wanting to change my game, I said I am trying to figure out what is scummy vs what is town, because scum and town act so damned alike that I see scum using what some players call town tells and town using what other players call scum tells.

Your misinterpretation of my post feels contrived, like you are reading into it what you want in order to support your unfounded theory.

It's not as simple as "look, this sentence is formed in such a way as to be cooperative rather than adversarial!" It's the tone of their whole exchange from 128 to 183, culminating in 208 and 211, giving TW a chance to make himself (it's basically all just House, right?) look reasonable, without bringing out anything resembling new information, and giving them a chance to agree. There's nothing probing or informative from anything they discussed, just a whole lot of nodding at each other and going "oh yes, that's just fine", despite the things they're talking about not actually being fine. CupCake offers no insight or real analysis, and TW offers nothing that wasn't obvious from his first few posts.

Even if this exchange isn't literally in the form of "and then he told you that he was going to shoot, didn't he?", it's still serving the same function and creating the same result as a more overt version.

I voted TW because he was the scummiest this far, taking into account the fact that only half the players had posted at all and that we were only a few pages in. It wasn't a random vote. It was serious, but it was based on very limited information and was, as it should be, set aside for a better informed vote later.

This is my first game out of newbie queue, and I'm still getting acquainted with its format and size.

Overwhelmed is not at all the feeling I'm getting from your posts.

What I'm addressing here is not the content of my posts, but my overall level of activity. The difficulty lies in being able to contribute alongside several experienced players with whom I have not played before. I hope to pick it up while the game progresses.

You see, during her whole exchange with TW, she isn't simply discussing why she thinks his playstyle is anti-town; in fact, she's going out of her way to emphasize it hurts

No, it was an attempt to get TW to see that the game isn't all about them. -Me just calling their playstyle anti-town wasn't going to solve anything or have any chance of inspiring a change. So, I looked for the root cause of the issue, which was TW approaching the game in a way which cared only about them figuring things out and not really caring about what the other players thought. And then, I attempted to resolve the issue by sharing what affect his behavior was having on my experience, which hopefully will now encourage them to approach things just a little bit differently. It's called interpersonal skills. I can't do any of that without showing the effect his actions are having on me. Name calling was not a solution there.

And I find it very suspicious that you suddenly jump up and start doing things right after I call you out on it.

I disagree. When an especific playstyle is anti-town, it affects town as a whole. There's no need to put such emphasize on your specific experience, unless you have ulterior motives for doing so. Besides, one of my main points is that your comments feel way too forced and fake, like you're trying way too hard to get across that your issue with TW comes from you being town.
