95% of my mafia experience comes from face to face games.
F2F mafia is much less logical, much more gut based than Forum mafia, and bandwagons start much easier. Even if someone doesn't give a reason for a vote, or gives a bad one, people will generally follow on and vote the same person. My play style is still based around my Experiences with F2F, and as such, I always get cautious when I'm voted for. Ignoring a scumread in F2F is near fatal, so I dont. Most of you guys are mainly forum mafia players, but I'm not, so keep that in mind. I ain't like other people.

@ F16;
1) Can you explain to me how this changed from one to the other:
↑ F-16_Fighting_Falcon wrote:I'm still on the fence about Ffery butI feel that their interactions with Medea make Medea more likely scum than Murder.
2) I don't get your town read on Isott, he's by no means 'new' despite him claiming so, I did a quick look around at the games he's claiming to have played / done, he's modding games at PD and also has quite a lot of experience there.
@ Murder;
1) Re; Post 1275 what happened to this "review" on the Yonce slot? I think Riddleton would have been annoyed that his playstyle is being attacked regardless of their alignment there and lose motivation for playing due to it, also the instant retraction of the replace out does mean it could have been faked in an attempt to grab 'town-cred' (This actually does happen, Klazam was considering doing it as scum in NikiPick V).
2) Re; Post 1279 where had I 'interacted with you' at that point, I don't think I did at all - I mentioned my confident scum-read, that's about it.
@ Nachohydra;re; Post 1289 1) I've gone over the Egg read several times, I have little to no expectation with his play and him being preoccupied / having a kid on top of that means I don't think his lack of content as of late is a scum tell at all but rather understandable, the posts I quoted before of his still read town and I still have no huge qualm with him. 2) I explicitly said I don't think Medea and Crows are scum together and have never said I scum read Medea, it's you that's not reading the game.
@Antihero;re; Post 1307 I can understand 2) but not 1), I never read your scum read on MoC as mere annoyance of their play but rather actual suspicion, below will be a huge case on them, want you to actually comment on it and let me know what you didnt' see before / if you still don't see it.- Regfan

This was meant to be attached to the F-16 section, want the thought process behind the flip in read elaborated on.
↑ F-16_Fighting_Falcon wrote:Re-read ISO's and went over some parts of the game.I don't think Medea is scum and I actually thought some of Cabd's interactions with Ffery matched with an old Newbie game where she was scum and he was town i.e. Ffery's painstaking efforts to sort him met by him not really caring so much to sort her.But I'm not super confident they are town either. Hate, hate, hate Ffery's recent interaction with me and the tone with which she did it. It feels really defensive and in a way I'm not used to seeing town-Ffery react to suspicion. There is too little condecsension and too much OMGUS but I'll elaborate in a bit. Would like Nacho to explain the townread and I'd also like Anti to explain it considering her reaction to his push on her in Serum and Steel was way, way, way different.
Best guess is that Yonce and Murder are the scumteam. Nacho is a possibility but I want more interaction there. I need to re-read how the Day one no lynch played out and I'll post a full list of my reads in a couple of hours from now.- Regfan

So, here's why MoC's scum and why we're lynching them today:
1) Found the entrance in Post 10 to be forced and exaggerated, AP later attempting to slip in a statement that he would 'never' make that post as scum in Post 623 reads as ridiculously disingenuous especially since he's not one to shy away from 'attention' as scum.
2) Reaction towards being FoS'ed in Post 224 / Post 225 / Post 243 / Post 614 don't read natural at all and comes across as very manipulative; little to no reason to attempt to manipulate the IC as town whereas scum have plenty. Didn't like their posts directed at Cabd at end of D1 specifically Post 649 and Post 674 which looks like an attempt to get 'town read' and also as F-16 pointed out play the fear card (which is something F-16 actually did to me last game and I almost bought it), reaction to F-16 more recently is similarly bad. MoCs Post 874 andPost 879 look really fake, with 30 minutes to go and the closest they ever got to a lynch I'd expect Town!Them to be more frantic about just getting a lynch in, attempting to play the "When we flip town" while doing near nothing to get a lynch in looks like an attempt to get town-cred while simultaneously not helping the town at all.
3) Reasoning behind the town read on Riddelton in Post 344 is lynchworthy alone, town reading someone as you don't believe scum would push something they know is "fake" makes no sense because almost everything scum push is 'fake'. I don't see an experienced player like Ffyer or AP coming up with or using logic this insanely weak as town, fact that this happens to be on the other person I'm scum-reading here strengthens this and makes Riddleton-MoC a likely team.
4) This is probably one of the larger ones but throughout the entire game (And especially when they were suspected) they set themselves up to be able to vote just about anyone, you can see Antihero set up in Post 442, Egg in Post 501, Bass in Post 504 also agree with Anti massively when he says their turn around on him does not flow at all, reasoning in Post 521 really contradicts Post 442, there's a lot more instances of her setting up to vote on weaker players and the while the culmination of them is damning I think the context of these ones are more crucial. If you take a look at Post 561 for instance their "Left" pool is pretty much solely players that either a) Scum read them or b) Are weaker easier players to push. The throw down vote on Egg purely as a "PoE scum read" after their entire reads list also reads as scummy and points against them legitimately scumhunting.
5) The FoS and "If you lynch us you should really look at lynching this D2" in Post 649 about Yonce who had replaced their somehow "strong town read" of Riddleton looks ridiculously scummy especially given the lack of follow up on this by them, until I replaced in they were putting near no focus on Yonce and even now their focus is minimal, there's no real attempt to get a read on him or natural progression in their read on him.
6) The fact that almost the entire playerlist FoS'ed MoC yesterday but they never got past L-3 in the entire day phase heavily points towards them being scum, partners wanting to distance but no buss; if they're town I'd have expected them to at minimum have been put to L-2/L-1 and forced to claim.
Vote: MoC

Also Anti, Yonce is most certainly not Hoopla and Yonce is highly likely scum here; fact that he claimed to be excited about drawing town and having already read part of the thread to have no real follow through in posting of thoughts and reads makes his happiness about alignment look fake as does him completely ignoring MoC today despite calling them 'lolscum' yesterday and showing confidence in them being mafia.- Murder of Crows

It got pre-empted by a long, drawn out exchange with F-16 for the most part. I think you noticed that, so this question feels kinda snarky. I did go back and read through Yonce's ISO, but not in depth yet.
2) Re; Post 1279 where had I 'interacted with you' at that point, I don't think I did at all - I mentioned my confident scum-read, that's about it.

AP's post was pretty dumb. We're not scum.

I certainly would have done more if I'd had time. I"ve explained what was going on in my life during day 1 and it had a huge effect on my play. It's probably going to get me lynched. I'm still town.
3) Reasoning behind the town read on Riddelton in Post 344 is lynchworthy alone, town reading someone as you don't believe scum would push something they know is "fake" makes no sense because almost everything scum push is 'fake'. I'm not sure if AP or I made this post. Maybe? The content doesn't feel like not-me. It was posted about 2 minutes after I made a post saying that I'd have to catch up a little later. AP and I were both scum replace-ins in the Open game mentioned there. So was Cabd. He and I hydra'd. If
I"m not sure if I made the post. It was 2 minutes after I'd said I'I did make the post I was in a hurry. I have a fairly narrow-band scum game, and I tend to expect other players who haven't proven their scum game is bold to play somewhat like me, though I often get surprises. Still, without evidence (which I did not have time to dig up this this game), I default to "what would I do as scum?" in measuring other players.

My turnaround on Anti is undocumented. There's a lot undocumented in this game because of my time constraints. I tried to play in the moment because I knew huge catch-ups would be harder, but it is what it is.
That was an in-the-moment gut reaction, made purely about that post. I think I rescinded this later when I realized who the player was and remembered it was the riddleton slot.
This is the thing that makes me crazy about day 1. Except that knowing I'm town, it makes me worry about inactive players in the late game day. I think I wasn't hammered, and in fact wasn't even put into a position where we could have self-hammered (which AP would have done, not me, but that's a philosophical thing) is because some of the players who weren't around during those last days and hours are scum.

This got mangled. What I was trying to say was that 2 minutes before this post I made a post saying I would be away for an hour or so. Sometimes I make posts like that and still squeeze in one thing more. If I made the post, I made it in a hurry.- Murder of Crows

Also, Regfan, you know for a fact that I react atypically to stuff as town. The Space mini normal we played together was an example of that.
My play here is abysmal compared to that game. And there's no perfectly matching meta for that, just a long dull trail of less and less effort over the last 6 months of play.- Murder of Crows
