Yeah. I gave my [_____] ray to Medea. He was one of my harder to read people from the previous days, and I wanted to see how he'd react to it. I have started to town read him because of his immediate response of immediately assuming I'm confirmed town, which I don't believe 'confirms' me of anything. But from his point of view, I understand it.

@egg: it's not about getting you to claim to avoid your lynch, but we already have two PR's lined up for killing, and half the town has claimed anyways, so I'd say a massclaim is optimal play. Plus I'd quite like the opportunity to comment on setup and balance before I die.

I'm surprised by boon's explanation, I honestly thought he'd say that he thought it'd kill Medea. That being said, intentional or not, giving the dayvig shot to them actually isn't entirely stupid. The shot replaces a lynch, and their not a universal townread, so I would suggest they don't have too much freedom in choosing the shot.

I gave Lightning Rod to Anatole last night.

I'm pretty sure I redirected the kill from me to AK. I didn't think that was going to happen at the time. I was town reading AK, and I thought maybe it would make AK like the Lightning Rod role for the night.

Okay, so these two posts say that Boon targeted Anatole

because he thought it would affect Anatole himself, not that Anatole would get to choose a target.

Boon, go ask bulbazak EXACTLY how your lightning rod role worked, and then let us know please.

I don't want "unknown" at work if we at some point in time have to go back and re-create night actions.

I do not buy this at all. I cannot see Doctor Horrible as being a fully town role.

shield - doctor shot
deflector - returns the action back at the person, a la i give it to someone who is going to be killed, it kills the shooter. not sure on this one.

But out of the blue, apparently now his role works as handing out inventions. What? IF he honestly believed that his Inventions were JOAT style, this post is bull****. But if he hands out inventions, that must mean his first posts about his mechaincs AND his targeting of Anatole were a lie. There is of course, the third possibility that he knows which of his inventions are JOAT style and which are Inventor style, but he clearly (thrice) says that he doesnt know how his Inventions work.
So heres what I think happened:
Boon DID give the lightning rod to Anatole. However, he also killed him, knowing that he wouldnt be able to use it. He chose this because it could be a pretty anti-scum item to use, with redirecting a kill.
So he successfully gets rid of a bad invention, and gives himslef a pretty good cover.

On the other hand, I guess it sort of makes sense that giving someone a shield or lightning rod would affect the way they're affected by actions that night, while giving someone a weapon would only give them an ability to use. One of the reasons I really want Egg to claim is so we can sort boon.

I know what you mean, except surely boon would have mentioned that in one of the three posts where he said he doesnt know anything about how his roles work.

I'm not entirely sure how to feel about this. I agree that Boon's whole thing with his role is less than logical, but I can sort of understand him trying to protect himself with it (lightning rod) as a hailmary play and hoping it works if he really thought he was going to die. Interesting to note that according to Regfan, Anatole didn't use any of his abilities which -could- potentially be explained by him using a lightning rod action that night instead. Not sure I believe that but just pitching it.

@Egg: Mass claim has no reason not to happen when half the town has already claimed and being able to think about setup could be helpful.

I will say Egg's behavior about his claim is making me less inclined to lynch him. I'm going to ISO AA9/Mikuru sometime shortly and see how I feel about that. I wish I had more conviction about any of my reads.

Why did you decide to list AA9 as null here when you said a lot of things about them, all of them indicating that you should be scumreading them?

I didn't have as solid a scumread on them as on you and I was convinced it was you + Yonce and maybe one of Mikuru, JesusBuddha, or Medea.

AA9 replacing out because GreyICE got on her nerves pretty much confirms me as town. I'm surprised you missed that and your lack of comment on it. Why?

This is a strange assertion.
I also think it's time for you to get a read on me/ffery that doesn't suck: we have a very large body of work in thread already from each individual head (which is btw crazy as balls from a three headed hydra and I'm so proud of us), ffery was second vote on a deadline scum wagon when no one was calling her out, AP's back so now you have both heads to read, so I think I deserve more comprehensive posts on our slot and their slot by now.
