If scum NK a vig, the vig still kills that night. If scum NK an investigative, they die with their result.

Yeah, and if vig targets town (which is quite likely), town loses 2 per night instead of 1 every night that vig is alive.

Vig is a great role for speeding a game along, for better or worse. Considering scum has the advantage on knowing role alignments, having a vig in the game serves their purposes more than town's.

I mean there's absolutely zero good reason (for town) to try and get a vig. TBQF, his singlemindlessness is antitown and even if he's town I wouldn't care.

I don't like this. It's like he's posturing for an ABR town flip. =/

While I finish catching up. I still like ABR for scum, but this post is giving me doubts.

I will say that I don't like ABR's vote hopping on flimsy grounds. It accomplishes the very same thing as the early D1 "Who would you vig?" question by giving scum the very same information, but in a more manipulative fashion that wouldn't garner as much suspicion as such a blunt question.

A townie is only slightly more likely to push scum than scum is. If you want to lynch everyone who is wrong scum will win quickly.

That's a shitty excuse for not explaining a read. Those who are too lazy to read an analysis, won't. Those who are actually interested in sorting scum, will.

Town would not hesitate to explain their reads. Scum want to soft-defend town without actually giving town reason to consider that player a mislynch.

What kind of posting does that one look like?

If I don't go back to ABR, Ozgin is my most likely vote at this point. Still catching up.

I think Bankai killer is emotional because that seems to be a part of his last game (I heard ABR mention it I believe) where he *apparently* got train-wrecked early and freaked out and spilled the beans on a fellow scum.

So I think the most likely players to be scum are:

ABR (I'm sticking to my analysis)
Bankai (I find it hard to trust someone who is an easy-to-press snitch)
GGG (It may sound weird, but I would expect someone who distrusts me so much to vote for me and not someone seemingly random)


Everyone else seems a lot closer to the null in this early stage. The first round of lynching will explain a lot, and if I survive I can continue to construct more detailed analyses.

Also, how does his bargaining make him seem scum? If anything it makes him seem town. He's so certain of his reads that he's willing to die for them tomorrow if they don't pan out. And I, for one, would hold a player to that kind of bargain.

This is bs. I've seen such "offers" before, but I've yet to see the 2nd lynch go through the following day when the 1st flipped town. Town get cold feet after a mislynch and shy away from what they feel might well be another one due to a TvT brush up.

I'd sooner lynch the one offering the 1v1 than the victim of it. If the one offering is town, they shouldn't mind dying if their flip results in a scum flip the next day. Sacrificing themselves to take out someone they are that sure as being scum also carries far more weight the following day because it's obvious they weren't being manipulative scum since they're confirmed town.

Dive on a hand grenade to protect your buddies. Don't try throwing a fellow player on it because you can't be as certain they are scum as you are certain that you are town.
