It does if it was a buddy rather than a chainsaw. That possibility occurred to me. Then I went to look through flipped scum's ISO.
I originally voted for Ffery because her wall screamed "F16 tried to manipulate me". I am sooo town guyz. No. It felt awkward. Your immediate response was worst.

If you read F-16's iso (and you say you did, since you're pushing ika) then you'd know precisely why I said his interaction with me was manipulative (so blatant that I thought he was parodying his scum play).
Even through the bottom of a beer mug, his play was pretty obvious. You shouldn't have any trouble at all seeing it without beer goggles.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

That isn't a sufficiently good answer. You formed the two reads having presumably read both of our isos at the least so you cannot have missed that aspect. Tell me how it factored into your reads.
As my most recent big post would indicate, I'd still be happy with an ika vote. I moved to Espeonage because it was a larger wagon on somebody I also suspect, and I moved to you because of your entrance on top of previous suspicion of Skrew, plus the fact that a big wagon was coming together. I'm not yet dissuaded from voting for you but if a larger ika wagon were to form, I would go along with it, and keep my fingers crossed that I wouldn't righteously headbang against a wall in my enthusiasm, as I have been occasionally known to do.#greenshirtthursdays- Titus

I haven't called you a drunk. I said I'm not sharing my beer with you and said you, lacking beer goggles should have had no trouble spotting f-16's references to me in his iso, and seeing them for what they are.

I generally only insult the Raiders. And ManU.
I certainly haven't tried to insult you.
Why don't you explain your ika vote with something more than sewer rat/phone book. You said that F-16 was distancing. My impression from his posts about ika was that he was weak-defending him and leaving room to switch to scumreading him. Which is basically the only thing I see as a townpoint for ika. His own iso is a mountain of lurk.Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.

NotScienceis a townread and I quite liked the assertiveness in Post 148 and Post 150 which is a far cry from the scum baseline I have for him in Final Fantasy 10. I don't understand his confidence in Katsuki being town as it feels rather arbitrary to assume that he won't repeat a gambit he did as scum before. But I can still follow his thought process for him thinking that Katsuki took note of the previous reactions and wanted to try it again although I would have liked more follow-up in asking Katsuki if he learned anything from those reactions.
I'd like to see more content fromTSObut I don't think the lack of it is necessarily alignment indicative. I also want his actual read on ika beyond "ika is lynchbait" although I find the sentiment to be fairly genuine. Also want an explanation for why he believes ika is lynchbait: my experience with him is actually that he's hyperaggressive which I haven't seen this game which I'll get to in a bit.
↑ F-16_Fighting_Falcon wrote:I hateMuffin'snon-contribution to the game so far and similarly to ika, I think he can be very town when town although I've seen him be heavily active as scum in the past. Post 163 feels like an RVS vote when we are way beyond that. The one thing I liked though was RVS-voting someone who was in the spotlight previously as I feel scum in general would want to build off of the reasons already in thread. Three people gave the same reasons for voting me and Muffin showed out of the searing blue to vote me because apparently he talked to my IRL girlfriend! But he has a few strong towntells I noticed from him in NikPick V and I want to see if they manifest themselves here.

Why is this more likely to come from town-Nacho? What I missed in his early posting is the lighthearted demeanor and the "let's sort some people and get a few townreads" attitude I've come to associate from town-Nacho recently. While I expected bright blue flames shining in the sky saying "Nacho is town," what I got was a cold feel of ice and a forlorn, distant longing for town-Nacho.
If you are voting ika for lack of involvement, I share your concerns. I missed Post 136 and Post 141 but you are the only one I haven't ISO'd yet which I'm going to do in a bit. I was assuming there was some deeper arms race reason at the time.
↑ F-16_Fighting_Falcon wrote:I likeFfery's concerns about me in Post 131 as I feel the disappearing would normally be more indicative of my scumgame. I can follow her thought process with the CDB and ika reads pretty well and the vote makes sense on the back of Mafia on the Air. I'm curious about the unvote though. ika hasn't posted since so what changed? Her thoughts on Tiershift's case on NS in Post 136 resonate with me as well as some of her points in Post 133. I also liked the townread on Notscience as his interaction with Ffery was one the things I liked about his play and the points she made about Espeonage vs Tiershift in Post 169 regarding how Espeonage is masking his play under the post restriction. I actually have a surprisingly strong town read here fueled with the strength of burning high octane jet fuel. I now await the inevitable paranoia as she attempts to sort me which I think I'll find incredibly amusing and will thoroughly enjoy.

Me asking why there were no more votes on the wagons doesn't mean it is a serious vote. I wanted to see how Nacho and others would react to it. It had nothing to do with me scumreading Nacho or wanting him thrown in a large tank of boiling hot gasoline.
Why do you believe ika is lynchbait? I searched for ika in your topics and it seems you haven't played any games together.
I was hoping to see you address my concerns and also explain your read on Tiershift/show me where you disagree with my read.
You've made 40+ posts the last five days (and that's not counting your hydra account posting) but haven't posted here. Why?
I quoted every post where F-16 mentions ika.
The first is lynchbait, which suggests F16 does not want ika lynched. His ISO has enough of him wanting to make people look just as bad as ika and disuade them from voting ika. It's a good place to start.

While I enjoy the no-win scenario in which voting for ika now would be construed as an attempt at appeasement and staying the course only further 'proof' that he is, in fact, my buddy, I'll be keeping my vote where it is for reasons stated. By all means, continue attempting to build a wagon on him, though.
Your declaration of an attempt to stir up quick reactions rather than necessarily believing strongly in your ffery vote rings true enough, though. I'll have to go back over your entrance into Orient Express to see if you did the same there.

I'm concerned about what you think of me because you're scumreading me, which is wrong, and I want to know whether or not that's going to be a problem.
But the reason I'm pressing you on it is that you insist on not commenting on my interactions with ika despite simultaneously scumreading us both, which is the sort of thing that I struggle to understand as coming from a town mindset if you're actually seriously considering me as scum.
That is an accurate reflection of my current stance on ika, as I can only vote once at a time. On this Day 1, I will be voting for my most-supported scumread until such time as that applies to somebody else.

Sorry about that. I've never seen your scumgame before from a townlens, so I'm still anxious about that. It makes my throat dry and stomach quiver. I feel like there are a lot of people in the game being accepted as town (even if passively) and your PoE pool is a sort of unspoken consensus. If you were scum with people in this group, then I could definitely see you going along with this instead of trying to defend them. Thad said, I think you were the first person to start going after Sleepy (or vote him at least, Nacho might have been pressuring him earlier). Im still trying to figure out how Im going to go about reading you. L4D mafia is still fresh in my mind.
What is your current opinion on CDB?
Its less this and more that every time someone calls you town, I feel the need to address the read and you because Im not there yet and for whatever reason Im concerned about people misreading you in particular. That might be because I think you are hard to lynch; I certainly don't want to lynch you. If I ever decide you are scum, I need to go all-in on it. I guess thats the mindset Im coming from.
Titus? I got the impression she was fishing for reactions. Her Ika vote is more/less expected at least.
I don't think anyone just reading F16's iso can be expected to take this away. I happen to see where you are coming from here, but I don't think any random person can be expected to conclude that F16 was doing that to manipulate you.
--
Unsure what to make of Titus/CDB here.
@Ffery: Ika's ISO is atrocious, I just read it a few times. I think I'm leaning town on him. If he were scum with falcon, I'd expect at least something from him after Falcon flipped scum. Instead he just appears purely apathetic which I'm leaning towards being town apathy. Not a strong read and I would probably vote him under the right circumstances, but definitely not going to be my preferred wagon as of right now.- Titus

@AP, ika's meta is to literally lurk the game away as scum. No amount of scumlynches will change that. He views it as our job to make him play.

All I see is that you unvoted him when his wagon took off in order to vote the illustrious lurking Ika. You never put your vote back on him, but continued to ping him mostly over one point which was his Nacho push. I tend to agree with ffery (I remember the post but cant remember which it was) where she said that F16 looked like he was being intentionally scummy in a way. His whole thing with the Nacho wagon was over the top and clearly not to be taken entirely seriously. So ya, I guess Im a little squinty-eyed to see you pushing him on that point a lot, voting a lurker despite talking to F16 mostly, and now trying to say you are obvious town because you interacted with F16.
I think you're leaping over the ketchup and landing squarely in the hot sauce here. That's going to leave a nasty stain.
1. I'm not trying to say I'm obvious town. Quote me once where I said that or implied it. I KNOW I'm town, but I haven't been saying that nor trying to paint my actions that way.
2. In fact, I actually POINTED OUT that my vote was on Ika. And I said it was more likely F-16's interactions with me that were making people read me as town, not mine with him. I could frankly care less who reads me as what. I do think your pushes have been weaksauce, to borrow a phrase. It looks to me like you're SOLELY reading ISOs and you're not keeping up with the game. I think that throwing a little fit now because someone thinks you're scum and omg the tragedy of having to defend yourself instead of doing the ISO you so want to do on Ffery is overblown, much like your little snit at me over being "read up". It reads as fake to me.
3. Did you read the rules of the game?
This quote doesn't really do it justice, since it's multicoloured and in big huge print. Still, I think it would have been a pretty big hint that "people would actually report infractions to the mod." I certainly read it that way.
I just reread the post I was responding to, and I definitely misinterpreted your intent slightly. For some reason I thought you were saying your interactions with F16 made you really town, but you were more concerned that I didn't talk about them. I still disagree that your interactions with F16 are a big town-indicator, but I'm over it. I think you are town for other reasons.
Im actually kind of doing the opposite of that? I have been catching up in the game, as evidenced by my quote strip walls which I tend to try and avoid when possible. I keep talking about ISOing people but then getting distracted and not actually doing it, lol.
I probably aggressively skimmed the rules. Regardless, that didn't really stand out to me. Reporting someone for violating their PR is not something I would really think to do, so it just kind of didn't occur to me that other people would.
--
What I said to TSO would not have been fake even if I were scum. I don't see how people still aren't getting this. He accused me of lying about what I said is anethical issuefor me for a scum-advantage. I don't and won't lie about ethical opinions I have because this is a game. I'm offended that someone would accuse me of lying about something that is outside of this game. That is it.

I don't think I've ever seen him as scum before. He is generally active as town. Still, activity-tells make my stomach sick. I don't think hes intentionally lurking at least, he looks genuinely apathetic. Which could be more likely from him as scum, but his interactions with F16 make me think town.
Ya I'll reread F16 posts soon. After the gym.

Okay. I'm kinda thinking I was wrong about AP (yeah, I know. Trust me, I'm aware of the runny quiche all over my face, frock and lacy white gloves). I believe Post 544.

L4D was one of my worst town games ever. I can understand misreading me in that game and I never really held it against you though I made a lot of noise about your shortcomings as a ffery-reader at the time.
Day 1 of that game was fascinating to me for reasons I don't think I ever talked about publicly, but I felt like a near-universal scumread by late day 1 (and in fact one of the few players "townreading" me was scum, but I felt like I had almost phenomenal cosmic power over the wagons as that day progressed. I'd vote someone and more votes would pile on until I'd unvote them. Then I'd vote someone else and the same thing would happen again. And again. It was probably just a case of being ever so slightly ahead of the town herd, but I was amazed by it and was tempted to play around with it at the time.
