@AP, If you think Tbone is pond scum growing on a dam, then why didn't you vote him?

@TBone, ikascum loves to lurk. Forcing him to pst via prod is exactly what I was doing. We could have gotten info from him.

What do you think of AP?

notsci discouraged my ika vote early on. . In he has ika as nullscum because of the lurking. , especially the part about how as scum he could have paranoidpostured all game on Nacho and me reads town to me. So does the bravado of the last paragraph.

I'm leaning a little town on TBone, muchly based on notsci.

Of the two who took a late stand against the ika wagon, BRantz bothers me most, and AP's remark about bussing holds water. Maybe looking for 2 more scum, one on and one off the wagon.

Tier, for me, you're basically coasting on this one town-feeling post that you made early day 1. Step it up, bro.

Espeonage is a stale pretzel in the bottom of my chexmix bowl. I'm not sure why he hasn't been replaced.

I'm going to go lie down. fever and beer don't mix.

I double iso'd them because I thought they both thought ika's early play wasn't alignment indicative. And I somehow confused the cute little avatars. Anyway, I've gone through most of day 1 thinking notsci initially didn't like that wagon. His first post to mention ika was actually after f-16 was modkilled. He said that he figured there were scum in the players that f-16 hadn't singled out for comment, which included ika. post

I'm about to be excommunicated for spilling vichyssoise on a vicar. And I'm not even a member of a religion :(

Current reads list:

TOWN
Titus. Pretty sure scum wouldn't be enthusiastically bussing like that after losing a scum to post restrictions, especially given a few uncertainty tells.

ChannelDelibird. Third on that wagon and pushing it throughout.

Fferyllt. I feel really strongly about this. I don't always agree with Ffery but I can always see where she is coming from.

Nachomamma. I'm giving full town points for the weirdness with F-16 but think Nacho needs to post more.

TOWNLEAN
Beastcharizard. is important because it is markedly not the post of scum looking for towncred by jumping on a scum lynch. He didn't vote ika but he encouraged a lynch of someone in this post and ika was the most likely lynch at that point.

AngryPidgeon. Similar reasoning here as for Beast. Wouldn't scum AP have been eager to jump on the wagon for towncred? I'm not certain, but his soft-defense of ika persisted longer than I would think scum would have done.

Brantz. I like people who argue with me. I felt like he made sense. Weak townlean, but it's there.

T-bone. He replaced in to a slot that could have stalled for time "reading the game" and I think scum would have done that. I don't think he gets major town-cred for voting Ika but I don't think it's scummy either.

NULL
Espeonage. This is really more a lean scum for me, but there's not enough to go on.

TierShift. I need more from you, TierShift. Content please.

SCUM
Muffin. I feel like he's been playing for towncred pretty reliably and his postings have been fairly regular but haven't progressed either my read on him nor the gamestate.

Nobody Special. Sheeped onto F-16. Interfered with me arguing with F-16 in . Votes Tiershift. Then Tier is town. Just weird transitions with little or zero explanation.

@MOD
: Aren't there just 13 players left and thus 7 to lynch?

Please don't pour chili sauce on my new t-shirt or spindle or mutilate my ketchup-stained corpse for my impertinent and unforgivable question, oh serene highnesses.

VOTE: T-bone

Here we go. I dug through notsci's trash bin and then smeared myself in steak drippings to try to get into T-bone's bedroom undetected. It worked, but that might have been because he wasn't home at the time. I listened to his breathing as he slept hoping to hear him murmuring about this game, but no dice.

I'm not going to do a big quotewall or a massive PBPA because signal:noise, but here are some general points:
  • In his big catch-up wallpost it sure seems list notsci is treating ika with the kid gloves
  • notsci's big catch-up wallpost, having read it 3 times, never really goes into why anything he mentions comes from scum and not town. It's all just "I like this, I don't like that" which is not scumhunting. Seems more like an attempt to "catch up" without having to stick his neck out.
  • notsci votes beast very early on but then implicitly concedes beast is town when calling him useless
  • after voting AP and indicating he's very scummy, and also stating twice that one of TSO/AP is scum, but then in 558 it's "you're either dumb or scum"
  • notsci got replaced, and is well-known for being apathetic when he draws scum

Also
  • ika's lynch was a foregone conclusion so I think the obvious choice for Tbone coming in was to bus. Unlike in other situations where it's possible to "townread" a scumbuddy I don't think there was any plausible way for a replacement coming in to not vote ika given his lack of content and the fact that it was D1.
  • tbone's "blah blah blah reasons" feels a little too casual, like it's forced. I think town-me in that situation 1) just goes "lol" internally and hammers without comment, or 2) posts a long diatribe to sum up a scumread on ika.
  • I think scum-me in tbone's situation does pretty much what tbone did, which is try to do situation 1 above but not quite get it right.

PS T-bone please dust under your bed, it's really bad under there and I had to fight the sneezing reflex a lot.

Oh, and I lied. It's 13 players, 7 to lynch. Much better.

Nachomamma8 & espeonage have been tasered.

Bleh. I am having so much trouble with my words. My throat gets dry and I make typos which the mod notices.

VOTE: ChannelDelibird

Because.....I still am pretty sure ffery is town at this point. I don't think she would take this approach to the game, and me in particular, as scum. I think she'd be a little bit more theatrical in some aspects and ya I know thats vague. I get the feeling that she is playing to find scum, not to look town.

BooKitty is in a similar place mentally although I lack some of the blind confidence I have in my ffery read. I thought a lot of her play looked fairly aggressive to be from scum and her pushes at least made sense to me even if I didn't really agree (like the one on me and F16 mostly). My limited experience with her suggests that this is town-her although that is more gut-meta than anything.

Nacho's spiel about not being scum with F16 and obviously so made me think town. I think he believes what he is saying and I don't think he as scum would necessarily believe that me or ffery would think that would look town from him.

Still thinking TierShift and BeastBlastoise are town. I don't really have any good way to explain that except that I liked Beast's push on TSO and I think Tiershift has been open/transparent all game.

--

Not willing to vote above that line Today in all likelihood. That is fewer good townreads than I thought I had >.> <.<

Titus replaces SleepyKrew. Stale read on Sleepy and I don't particularly feel good about him in hindsight in ISO. I am curious about Nacho's comment where he was so sure SK was scum replacing out. Titus did shove Ika fairly hard, I'll give her that. I need to look at that wagon in context though cause off the top of my head I do recall it having steam at that juncture.

T-bone replaces NotScience. My read on NotScience waffled between light town and null-scum. I am tempted to drink muffin's koolaid on the slot because T-bone's hammer in one post schtick felt off from my limited experience of T-bone and I thought T-bone's defense
T-Bone wrote:I dropped the proverbial emerald (SOOOOO SHINY) into Ika's coffin because he was scum. lol at 'T-Bone hammered to shut Ika up".... Are we reading the same game? The same game in which someone complained about Ika's LACK OF posting? Ika was the inevitable lynch, so let's not pretend I'm scummy because I came in and finished it. Certainly not to "shut him up".

was technically valid, buuuuuut I didn't like it. I think town would be more likely to approach this differently rather than try to pin a contradiction on Titus. I think there is some interesting thought behind what Titus said here and instead of trying to understand her perspective (and she is a person of interest given who she replaced) just takes what is on the surface and scoffs at it. Meh. Not sure. I'd probably vote this Today.

Espeonage is a whole lot of lurk and derp this game. The only thing I can really recall is that he made a meta case on Tiershift that I don't understand and am not really inclined to believe. If this is scum, my Tier read needs revisiting. Could vote this, but Espeonage is a null read for the most part.

--

NobodySpecial, Muffin, BRantz need some time for me in light of Ika flip. I have been leaning town on NS/Muffin for a while. The muffin read was because of a comment he made about how only a townie would likely notice something. I thought that was a fairly town perspective, although certainly not outside the realm of fakeability as scum. NS feels removed from the game in a way that looks like lost town, but his ISO looks like somebody applied paint thinner to it. My gut reaction to BRantz posts from Today was town, but not ready to commit to that feeling.

Up to you losers.

My post restriction isn't very debilitating. But is going to be boring and not in the spirit of the game if I just do it at the top of every post then make my post.

While I like the mindset and I think it aligns more with town-Espeonage than it would scum-Espeonage (I think that town-Espeonage would be looking to have fun and wouldn't necessarily care if post restriction muddied the waters at all), his play after this point don't really have any sort of "fun" vibe and instead look about as fake as the bulge in Baron Happlebap's pants.

Espeonage wrote:I have seen him as scum and town.

At the start of the game,
I have seen him do this play as scum. I have not seem him do this play as town.

This meta sandwich smells worse than Baron Happlebap the day before his monthly shower, and it's been brought up before that scum-Espeonage generally fucking hates meta, so no real reason to see why suddenly he would be OK with using it unless he's just looking for a bullshit reason to make a push early. This is especially scummy when he's surrounded by a few people (ffery, me, others) who he knows enjoys meta and employs it quite extensively, so it feels like he's playing to us which DEFINITELY isn't an Espeonage-town trait.

Don't mind the "patter" noise. It's just me lurking.

This post suggests that his earlier case on TierShift wasn't serious, but the "I actually think the dog was scum" seemed like an attempt to get his vote to be taken seriously, which is problematic.

Espeonage wrote:I don't want to deal with the burden of backing up my reads. Which makes me sad. We need more shenaningans.

This additionally seems like a bullshit reason for lurking since I seem to remember Espeonage having no problem pushing reads just to go with it: he doesn't necessarily provide reasons when he makes his pushes. I can see him wanting to provide reasons when he makes his pushes as scum because doing so will mean that he gets less blowback when he pushes them, but I don't really understand why he suddenly finds it problematic now.

Espeonage wrote:We're definitely still in RVS. Because I have literally nothing on anyone.

Beast (and he looks like a sad one at that) is about the closest thing to a scumread I have just from his posturing to look like he's encouraging good play even though it amounts to jack shite.

Worth a vote I think,

Titus did pretty much the only thing that she possibly could to erase that scumread, and that was peg ika in the way she did and have him just roll over and die. I didn't think SleepyKrew would be such an ass to lurk out the game when he had time to post for absolutely no reason, I figured he'd be excited to play with us (this was like our first game together ever!), and figured he'd probably feel awkward playing against me when he was living in the same apartment I was and that could lead to the procrastination cycle that culminated in his replacement. I've softened that stance a bit recently, especially while shit that's as repulsive as Baron Happlebap's "morals" (Espeonage) exists.
