thor - no need to up the fear factor!! i just really wanted to pull a guilty gunsmith on you with a hammer vote in LYLO. it didn't turn out that way cuz you had to go and then there was jingle pulling the same joke before I could!

it was SO HARD to figure out who to kill. there was a list of like 5 or 6 players who needed to GO N1. Like.. seriously.

yeah, i find thorella's confusion about it to be quite funny. i also find it funny how he misses how much total respect I have for him when he is 1 of the biggest influences in my play even tho he frustrates the hell out of me sometimes but i say we leave him in the dark cos it is just funnier that way.

the things that I love about you are how passionate and energetic you are in games and how this is so null for you cos you give them gusto regardless of alignment. <----- this is something I truly admire. cos i feel like you can tell my alignment is pretty obvs at this point in self-examination upon my meta and it hurts my scumgames. a lot. the solution for me in the pre-ms days was to emulate my towngame by fake meltdowns as scum and it got to a point where I had to do that all of the time even when I was not feeling it as town. then it got to a point where i hated playing scum with a passion which is around the time of when I joined ms. I had some great victories as scum on other sites against dumb odds and I think it says a LOT about you and that you are receiving support for it and in a lot of ways I envy this but the envy is my thing (I rarely received support for scum wins cos on the sites I have played on, scum= bad and I shld feel bad about winning and rewarded with receiving more scum roles cos the gms on the sites I played on did most certainly not always rpg for alignment assignment and I know this cos they have said so. /bitter) and instead of raging against town "wtf did you not listen to me" which is pretty dumb cos it isn't like a game is determined just based on what my reads are or even my ability to convince other people which I cld not quite produce even when you pushed me for it or my play alone. a town win is a team effort which IMO is harder to play on this site. for me,

this was a fantastic teaching tool

in that it exposed the weakness in my townplay. which is obvsly something I need to work on.

so thank you for that. it made me realise that I need to fix the weakest aspect of my town play which is to produce cogent arguments and to accept that sometimes I will not

a trust tell from my understanding is when some1 says "I

will

never do this as x alignment". but there is a grey area that exists where you say "I

don't

do this" as scum which is pretty borderline if you have a pattern of consistency to where you adhere to it.

does this make sense?

That's bullhooey - there are assuredly things I do as scum that I don't do as town - that's half the base concept of the game.

i think it starts crossing over into rule breaking and trust tells when you KNOW what the tell is and you enact it for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage. it's different from simple meta in that it's a lot stronger and has an absolute pattern.
