It didn't seem /quite/ mod confirmed to me that the scum in the two origin games would be kept separate. My role makes me 99.9% certain that there are multiple teams though. Since it was possible to interpret the scant setup info we were given in either way, and since the scum would already know, I felt that stating my role pretty much confirms multiple scum teams had value to the town. As you play more with me you will find that I do my very best to avoid assuming things that aren't empirically confirmed. I've been burned way too many times in the past by making assumptions that seemed safe but weren't. I learned my lesson.

@BCW: You know I was thinking that Drixx might be derpy town, but then he tried to subtley copy Boonskiies' townslip here so now I'm back to being gung ho on lynching him.

Speaking of Boonskiies townslip, Boonskiies wins games by being underestimated. So I'm not clearing him that easy.

Sorry for my delayed play, this is my third time explaining it in a thread but my dog died, I started work today, and I'm still a full-time student, so my posting abilities are scarce. I'm only as far as page 15 in this game in my reading (I'm gonna catch up, I promise), but I need a little bit of time to get my head into this game. The weekend is coming up so I'll be good to go soon.

I appreciate the attempt to stay in the game, but know that real life always takes precedent, don't be scared of replacing out if you need to focus on more important things. That's my opinion anyway.

Anyone have useful Om meta? Does he normally do post by post scum cases as town? Cause I think I've only ever done it as scum.

I was particularly amused by the quoting of me posting that the info given by game mods didn't necessarily confirm separate scum teams, but conveniently not quoting the earlier post where I said my role basically confirmed multiple scum teams. Here's a good rule of thumb: if you have to take people out of context and ignore temporal order or even ignore whole posts and otherwise your "case" doesn't add up, you probably don't have a case. This goes doubly true when you ISO someone and don't bother to look at what other people said that sparked various comments or responses.

#582 is going to be hilarious if you manage to wagon me all the way to lynch. You feel so good about yourself for using fallacious reasoning and just plain being bad. I always approve of people with big egos and low intelligence (generally identified by the need to use profanity and insults to make points because they lack proper rational thinking ability) having said egos deflated.

I'm gonna go to sleep and I've got work to do tomorrow. If town is stupid enough to let scum rush a lynch that's cool. Should be some useful stuff that comes out of it. My role has immunity from being killed by a specific scum faction, ergo my role essentially confirms multiple scum factions. My death and flip will confirm that fully and then hopefully town is clever enough to eradicate the scum teams.

You've been pushing people to vote me, and never gave any reasoning, and then you're surprised when I question your motives? First you complain that I'm not questioning people enough, and then you act like me questioning you is a bad thing. If you're truly town, it would be good if you stopped tunneling and took a few deep breaths.

I'm not being passive because I don't care or because I don't want to keep playing. You just never gave any reasons to vote me so what was I supposed to be non-passive about? Now that you have put together a wall of quotes, most of it is me responding to people asking me questions. You also dismissed when I pointed out things without giving my own stance on them. Did it occur to you that I might have had a purpose behind putting something there without injecting my own conclusions?

Basically what your big post looks like is you decided I was scum then went back and lined up all my quotes and found some reason why each was scummy, unless you couldn't bend them that far in which case you gave the triple period treatment. You prefaced the entire thing by calling me "fucking worthless". If you start by making your mind up and then seek "evidence" to back it up, that's called confirmation bias and you're going to fail spectacularly a lot.

Also, I am not sure your version of how our interaction went is accurate. I did question your motives for sure, but that seems fair given that you hadn't actually given any reason for trying to wagon me before that. And why are you criticizing me for not having a bunch of super strong cases to push in the early part of day 1? Am I supposed to be like the super greatest player ever or something? Who else do you see that has a bunch of strong cases all ready to push right now? Why are you only finding me at fault for that?

If you're going to make a case that appears to be flawed by a consistent fallacy, start said case by calling the target of the case "fucking worthless", and then follow up by patting yourself on the back for how good you are at the game ... you should be prepared to have some pushback, and you should be prepared to eat some crow when you turn out to be wrong. There hasn't been a tremendous amount of non fluff content so far to read. I do need to get some sleep and get some work done tomorrow, because you know ... real life.

My recommendations for good reads until I come back and give you the reads you're talking about: "Worm" is a super good read, although it's quite long, clocking in at around 1.75 million words. HPMOR is also quite good and finishing up in a bit over a week.
