EBWOP - When I was putting that long post together, I initially felt like I would do thorough reads either way. I changed my mind partway through, as I don't see a particularly good reason for me to invest a significant amount of time giving reads on mostly fluff posts if I'm just going to get lynched anyway because any defense I make is just gonna be responded to with the attitude of "no matter what you say, you're scum". The case, inasmuch as it exists, is highly subjective and usually when I see people drive wagons based upon cases like this, anything the target says gets used as additional reasons to vote them. Almost always such wagons are on townies.

If I'm pleasantly surprised and there's actually a willingness on people's parts to evaluate things using logic and solid reasoning, then I'll feel a lot more like it's worth investing in. Even then, I feel like if I get lynched, it will be more evaluating the wagon that will find the scum than my reads on a whole lot of fluff. I'm not optimistic that I can separate town fluff from scum fluff well enough that my current reads would be any kind of major asset. I'm willing to do the work if I'm convinced they'll help and/or there might actually be a tomorrow for me. At the present moment, neither of those things are necessarily true.

And before anyone attacks me and says I am scum and I don't want to give out info ... don't. Copper can attest to the fact that I'm perfectly fine giving reads and making cases as scum. You could attest to that too if you read my on site games.

At least I don't have 9 different votes. My reads are constantly changing because we're coming out of a very volatile stage of the game and information is pouring out left and right. I've also explained my lack of posting lately, Look at my 8th post lol. And haven't you voted for 5 different people now?

Quantity =/= quality, especially when it comes to posts. I don't post frequently. I try to post substantial posts, though. My RL has just kinda been inhibiting my ability to do that, lately, and I'm sorry for it.

I am pretty satisfied with Drixx's response to the whole situation with his last few posts. At first I felt that his defence was just a big, "Oh you'd better not do that! You'll regret it! You're just a big buncha jerks!" but I feel like he's taken care of most of the arguments against him in the last few posts.

Again, sorry about my lack of posts - meatworld has been pretty bloody lately. It's still nowhere near too late to catch up, and I will this weekend because I will have the time to do so.

Drixx delivered a solid defense.

I also believe his claim because it sounded genuine. The way he went about it saying that you'll all be sorry when he flips town if he is lynched sounded genuine. And if he was a mafia saying that, then that would be a manipulative way to play with people's emotions to get votes off him, which I don't think is the case.

I'm just going to make an opinion post (as objectively based as possible) concerning the ongoing drama here:

There are rules on the site for a reason. The site owner says the reason is because people couldn't be mature enough to go without having rules. So far, several of the folks I've met since joining the site who have been here for years seem to have a near universal disdain for new people and seem to think they are some sort of royalty and new people are beneath the dirt compared to them. They also have a tendency to violate the rules regularly. There also seem to be some insular cliques on site which contain people unable to be objective when it comes to other members in the clique. This is evidenced by, for example, the following:

1.) Mollie claiming that TPTG hasn't crossed the line, when whomever that is clearly has, even before the more recent explosion. Granted, the initial stuff wasn't huge, but it also was objectively against the rules. Just because you like someone doesn't mean they get a free pass. Also ... since when does "erotic fanfiction" belong in a mafia game? I'm pretty sure there are sites for that. fanfiction.net springs to mind.

2.) BBmolla more strongly fits the example as He isn't even trying to defend "kuribo". Apparently, kuribo is allowed to say and do anything he likes, and if we don't like it or it's against the rules, that's okay because he's kuribo.


I'm fairly certain it's this sort of situation that must have inspired the rules post in the first place.


PEDIT: @BBmolla - When I finished my work for today, Soren had just poked me for a defense. Is there someone specific you would like my opinion about? You seem to have missed the part where I stated that a blanket reads list of the 25 other players in the game is not likely to be very useful. We have some folks with almost no posts, and most of the folks with posts have ISOs that are (almost in some cases) entirely fluff.

Since turnabout is fair play, where is your reads list? You seem to think that I'm obligated to take up a chunk of my afternoon to give you something you haven't given the game yourself. What's up with that?
