Yes, its one scum left. I'd say that 99% likely.

The problem isn't too many choices, and losing someone to self-immolation simply removes one of our opportunities to be wrong today and still win in the long run.

We don't need any more town own-goals in this game.

@Ffery:

I keep going back to the SleepyKrew suspicion and the fact that Nacho said something about Titus doing the only thing she could to erase the scumread by pushing the Ika lynch. (I can find the quote if necessary.)

I have minimal direct experience with Titus but rumor has it she's very adept as scum. Her push back against Brantz really still bothers me like that
blood
coffee stain I can't get out of my coveralls. Her refocus from her being wrong about Brantz to expressing horror that Muffin was lynched before she could even post also feels off to me.

I asked her specifically about Nobody Special because I don't really feel like he's cleared either. Here's where I'm at (I'm pretty sure I said this before, but I think it's okay to say it again):

Fferyllt is Conftown by way of play and Mason claim.

AngryPidgeon's suspicion of Brantz and pushing it through makes zero sense for scum trying to win the game. Voting me at this juncture also doesn't seem like something scum would do.

UT is playing in accordance with my personal meta of him as town. Does that prove he's town? No, but I think he is.

Nobody Special: I am torn on this one. My gutread is that he's town based on some slight acquaintance with his playstyle earlier, but his overall posting hasn't really moved the game forward imo. I didn't like his vote on Muffin with minimal explanation. I don't know if scum would do that. I want to hear a whole lot more, including an answer to AP's question.

CDB: I'm torn on this one too. I know for a fact CDB is capable of seeming oh so very town while lying to me and breaking my heart.

Now we come to the one I can't figure at all: Titus. Pushing the lynch on Ika when he was practically cooperating with his lynch by posting nothing but crap -- that's not an outlier move for smart scum. I already said I didn't like the defense of Brantz and the continuing attempt to take on the town leader role through guilt and shaming. She votes Nobody Special out of the gate and then moves to UT with the reasoning, "I am just working with people I townread to get it done." Where was this spirit of cooperation with regard to Brantz?

It's not sitting well with me and I really don't want to get lasagna stains on this outfit on only the third day I've been wearing it, so talk to me about why I'm wrong on this, please.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

As town, I like to have as many facts as possible at hand, especially toward endgame. Also, I was hoping the last scum might slip when answering it. Thanks for ripping that hope out of my hands.

Nacho felt pretty strongly that Titus is town and I want to hold onto that. In our night 4 discussion, he basically said that if CDB and UT both flip scum, then he'd want to reconsider Titus and NS, but not before.

So, the reasons he put forth for town-titus include

- if anyone could have made scum-ika do something useful and potentially avoid the lynch on day 1, that would be scum-titus.
- her angry push at t-bone on day 2 saying that he cut off the chance to get more info from scum-ika is way more likely to come from her as town than as scum
- her pissyness about the brantz lynch being a mislynch and pre-emptive i told you so was something that makes sense from town titus, but he doesn't think it would occur to scum-titus to posture that way over a scum lynch.
- he also thought that titus pushing the lynch on ika and then assuming she'd solved the game from that lynch is the sort of ego-based play she does as town.

Nacho did a complete about face on CDB on night 4, which is why that's where I want to vote. On night three, he talked about CDB's intermittent town-flashes, which I agree have been there. He says that scum-CDB doesn't often (if ever) display those kinds of flashes. But, with muffin's flip and CDB's play on day 4, he apparently came away with a completely different impression.

I'm basically waiting for UT to make his catch-up post, and then I'll decide where my vote goes.

Nacho made an eloquent case for scum-muffin on Night 3. He's not infallible, but he has a real knack for seeing the town-motivation in play that I often snap-read as scummy. I feel like his Titus read has that qualilty about it.

I don't want to Monday morning quarterback his Titus read just yet.

Ffery, I wanna say I am feeling a little bit of clarity right now and I 100% agree with the points you made for town-Titus. The bit about WKing BRantz occurred to me. I have had vague paranoia about "what if Titus is just playing a really fantastic scumgame and is one step ahead of me all game", but the people I feel that about rather exclusively end up flipping town by and large.

Whoops, submitted that early somehow >.>.

I really need to control my raging stomach ache.

I would also like to see some content from UT. I think that slot is a fairly large piece of the puzzle right now and we haven't had much meaningful content from it most of this game.

I'll keep looking through BRantz ISO. I think I had the best grip on him this game, so hoping to gleam something from him.

Ok ffery, its like this. I'm reading through all this bile.

If I end up in lylo with BooKitty and NS, I'm going to cry.

BRantz wrote:NotScience: NotScience's only real contribution to the game is that he doesn't think Katsuki is scum gambiting. But I do like his engagement with Ffery, though I wish he had followed up after asking for a read. Null-very slightly town, but if Katsuki is scum I would look here again {or vice versa)

I don't think this looks like scum talking about a buddy. I know somebody disagreed about this, but I really think this is a bit overdone for a read on a buddy. Why make such an obvious connection by looking aggressively on the fence about this. I think its on town more likely than not.

BRantz posts about BooKitty (and a lesser degree, the way F16 handled BooKitty on his early wagon) make me think its booKitty although I've thought her posts themselves looked town this game. Kinda feel lame about that read, but I'm overly tempted to trust my read on BRantz posts here.

I don't think its the UT slot a fair degree for the post mentioned above.

CDB also doesn't particularly look like a BRantz buddy. I don't know though.

NS is sort of a PoE read at this point + just seeming really withdrawn from the game despite not being V/LA/AFK like some of the lurkmass (hi). He just feels like hes kinda watching the game and not really in it if that makes any sense at all.

I realize my top 2 right now are the opposite of your top 2, so lets keep working at this.

Titus I don't trust vca. Especially not as you've demonstrated it in this game. I'd as soon use chex mix as a divination tool.

because let's be real here

the last mafia needs a whole bunch of mislynches in order to pull this one out

if it were me, I'd be pursuing exactly the same tactic Titus is

"well it can only be one of these two people, since the rest of us are *obviously* so town. let's lynch them. oh no I was wrong? I guess it has to be this other player. we'll simply *have* to do them next there's no other way"

come on girl. Christopher Nolan writes more believable narratives

Ffery, which statement do you disagree with?

1) 3 scum on F16 is ridiculous when other wagons were also at 4. Thus NS and Bookitty are clear.
2) You are a mason and thus clear.
3) AP leading a lynch on Brantz strongly clears him but not confirmed.
4) My leading ika lynch means the same boat.

After that list, it's CDB and UT who are left trying to look town like horses trying to look like zebras.

As near as I can tell your vca is shallow. You've said nothing about the trajectories leading to where players were positionally and temporally on wagons.

Let me scatter these pretzels on the table. They will point us to the endzone.

p-edit I would say that the most shaky of the propositions is the first one. And you leading the lynch on ika is actually the weakest of my reasons for townreading you because of the unique ways you and ika interact in all games I've played/followed.

Your language makes UT and CDB equally scummy sounding.
At most
, only one of them can be scum.

here's what it really comes down to for me:

fferyllt, AP, me, boo

we're all looking for ONE puzzle piece. the last remaining scum

titus? she looks like she's looking for three or four puzzle pieces. that seems like trouble to me.

and I spent a week on a booze cruise with the Fonz, so I know something about trouble ;-)
