scum weren't going to kill you and you made lylo come a day early regardless of when you were lynched.
etl was right the whole time. policy lynching you would've been a waste of time. The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.- T S O

wp town.
I understand why you didn't lynch Varsoon, ETL, but it was pretty clear."i have the sickest grossest feeling that even if it's my lynch today, my townflip still won't lead to a tso lynch, and then he'll find some bullshit way to reason either shooting or lynching gm tomorrow because if there's anyone who can strongarm a mislynch despite his reads or cases being proved wrong time and again it's tso"-Marquis- Kaboose

Seeing the game from D1, thinking it cut and dry lynch, nk, lynch, nk I imagined that being lynched D1, would put town in a better spot as they'd be trying to find 2 scum out of 7 instead of 2 out of 9. Assuming a town lynch D1 meant auto lynch me D2, I think it would have been better served getting me out of the way, narrowing it down tomorrow and making D2 the D1 of the game.
You said it yourself, I was in the game to balance it for scum, so taking me out of the game... Wouldn't that unbalance it in town favour?- Antihero

umm... no because the lost day would've still been lost
the only (valid) reason to lynch you would've been if you were thought to be scum fakeclaiming hated.
otherwise policy lynching doesn't buy you anything. it still makes town lose a day whether it's day 1 or day 3.The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.- Kaboose

Literally the second we mass-claimed there was no winning. D:
I should've blocked Flubber, dunno why I didn't. D:
Doesn't matter, I was gonna be today's super-run up lynch anyway.- Varsoon

I think that if we didn't massclaim this would be a bit more balanced, but too many actual roles could be checked and there just wasn't much wiggle-room for scum.
I really hate claims and setup gaming anyway. It's not the kind of game that I sign up to play. I want to play a diverse game of rhetoric, so when the setup becomes far more powerful justification for votes than any other argument it really stiffens the fun of the game for me.
Like, yeah, there's a way to win this as scum, but I'd rather win through posts instead of through role-actions and 'gaming' the setup.
Eh. :/
That said, the role names/flavor there was cool and I had a great time playing with you guys!- EspeciallyTheLies

Many balanced games can be broken by truthful massclaim. The job of scum is to interrupt that process or use it to their advantage enough to win.
The balance of the setup was fine.
You said 'we should claim ascetic.' No kudos for you. This is a Parachute.- T S O

I'm still baffled at the scum plan of claiming Ascetic and Jailkeeper."i have the sickest grossest feeling that even if it's my lynch today, my townflip still won't lead to a tso lynch, and then he'll find some bullshit way to reason either shooting or lynching gm tomorrow because if there's anyone who can strongarm a mislynch despite his reads or cases being proved wrong time and again it's tso"-Marquis- Flubbernugget

Most everything else claimed was something people could prove/check.
I felt like I could claim a positive utility role and then there's still just be scrutiny and doubt anyway.- sthar8

Sorta. It's much better to lose a day on 1 than on 3, especially with investigatives and protectives in the setup. Leaving the hated alive is the high risk/ high reward option, policy lynching evens the EV out considerably. Not what I'd choose, but not terrible either.
JK is a fine claim, other than the necessary rhetoric to support it never materialized. Ascetic maaaybe could have skated on noisy arguments, but this was a really rough town for that, with many of us getting the role we were best suited for.
Also the JK claim was made significantly worse by Jingle bulldozing you guys into giving us the best claim position. For all Varsoon knew, we were an actual town JK and he was getting railroaded into a straight counterclaim. I still have no idea why anyone except you thought it was a good idea to let us claim last, btw. We should never be allowed to claim last, and the massclaim initiator should never be allowed to claim last. And the double negative certainly doesn't make a positive.- EspeciallyTheLies
