When I saw the role name, he's a new kid on the block so he gets to know people on the block, so with a little stretch I took it as neighbourhood cop. He was town, what would he have gained by fakeclaiming and sticking to it when it would be verified D2?
I wonder if revealing role powers breaks the game and that's why it's not announced?

Ok, in order to determine which player is in which game, I would like each player to put whether their flip would be something found in the wiki.

Jackal would be found in the wiki (even though I cannot find the public modifier). New kid on the block cannot be found in the wiki.

The Marquis kill is optimal for both scumfactions independent of the neighbourhood alignments, as long as scum assumes he is town, because a check on Cerberus either confirms 3 townies or wrecks 1 of the teams, if we want to play outguess the mod, the fact there was a neighborhood coo, I hope Marquis accurately described his role unlike Jackel, indicates scum might be in a neighborhood, Cerberus woth his refusal to claim and woth the pocket on ChriVi by calling them confirmed town, is a good place to start.

3. We should think sbout testing BRantz's claim.

Refusal to claim? Care to show me where anyone asked me to claim, and I refused to do so? I also partially claimed one way mason and neighbor to ChriVi.

Yes Marquis' role does not match his claim. It seems likely that he was in a neighborhood, and that he was fishing and covering for his partner. Apparently they trust each other. More masons? Or variant masons? Good play if he knew his partner was town, and thus didn't want to make them waste their investigation on him to confirm his alignment.

Agree on testing Brantz claim.

@Titus: Because its another logical reason for the kill. I don't ignore things those who don't know my alignment will be thinking just because its inconvenient.

Ah. You do know we're still at 0 conftown yes? It's actually impossible for anyone to be truly conftown right now. Even for the masons you need claim, corroboration, investigation, and a public flip for the investigator...and you still get fooled by a fake mason claim including a godfather if the investigator picked the wrong half to investigate.

Marquis gave his specific role name as Neighbor Daycop. He did not say that was what his power was titled, but it my have been.

for the record I've been operating most of the last part of today under the idea that I'm most likely going to eat a nightkill anyway because I'm a perceived threat for finding scum. so i really don't think anyone should be wasting actions on me, track or whatever else.

Another possibility: ChriVi and myself are scum and have day talk, and came up with the pseudo mason play that requires confirmation with the intention of killing off Marquis to prevent being found out. Seems like a weird line to take given the absence of pressure and likelihood of other investigative roles existing, but it is a possibility.

I'm not absolutely sure that it was 2 mafia factions considering the eviscerate kill flavor could be an SK. Assuming that incinerate is volcano flavor.

No one's one-hundred percent certain that both mafia factions made the kill, e,g: doctor saves, but I think It's a safe assumption that the two mafia factions shot the same person. The Mafia wouldn't pass up a chance to kill, but the Sk might... that's a very strong

. I've never seen it happen in a game, but the sk might not have killed in order for us to doubt the presence of third party. Also, mafia often think alike, whether they want to or not. Killing the cop and blinding the town of information early-game isn't a half bad strategy. It's almost the most obvious move.

I don't see why this makes it impossible for Werewolves to be a mafia faction unless they are always separate from Mafia though.

pedit: I don't like that logic Lucian. For an SK to decide not to kill would require them to think that they are "safe" in a long game. With the amount of suspicion that has been thrown around on different people this game I would be surprised if anyone felt that safe.
