If nothing else, quick lynching is advantageous in this game setup, and with 12 players, we can afford a policy lynch on Day 1.

I'm still not completely confident on scum reading lufan yet, but unless he can come up with a better explanation/better reads, it's not looking good. To me, his reads and behavior don't indicate newbscum as much as they just scream newbie.

You're probably right, I haven't really played enough games to know typical newbie behavior as town/scum.

@Lufan: Can you please explain why you scumread ZZZX for not posting while null reading other equally inactive players? The fact that you immediately changed your read after he posted (no content) seems to indicate that it is not the content of his posts that you are concerned with and that you just find inactivity scummy.

I feel like a school yard bully, but why sign up for a game you know will be fast paced? This is classic scum behavior, and you may be new enough to not be aware of it. Please set some time aside and let us know about

I do agree that it's a bad idea to sign up for games you don't have time for, but I wouldn't call that classic scum behavior. I've seen many town players who barely post/don't post for days for various reasons like school/work.

Yea, lot's of times (and I have hosted just as many).. but mostly on myanimelist.com. This is only my third (or fourth?) game on mafiascum.com.

I think a timelimit of 2-3 days would be enough to decide who to lynch. The longer we wait, the more time we give Shinozaki Sachiko and her team to defend and manipulate the conversation.

I'd like to just let you slide for awhile, (slots I respect have vouched for you) but you never so much as said boo over my slightly tinfoil case on you. Not even a bad case is bad. You're also not doing what you've exposed, you're not helping to find a good lynch.

4. Zymf - I was suspected for saying "Shinozaki Sachiko and her team" :/ I don't have any counter-arguments other than, "I just did.."
5. Skold - Has receieved complaints for nor posting much. Has posted more than me, so I can't blame him.

8. Mikazuki - I generally like her reasoning
9. Shadowcat - I'm affraid of Huntress, she was scum in the last game we played. Other than that, null.
10. lufan131 - Has been suspected for posting in another PT. Valid argument imo, but I think it's a bit unfair to lynch him based on that alone. He also posted a lot of reads without any explanation, that doesn't help much
11. Taly - Posted reads and haven't done anything suspicious yet.
12. Witness Protection - Has my current p-vote. Not that I find him all that suspicious tbh...
13. Thor and Loki - A lot of more or less random posts..
14. ZeL1nK2 - Has been very active and very helpfull with the p-vote count. Unless we have a good reason to suspect him, I think we should trust him.

Even if he is scum, I don't think that's what it "indicates" at all (and especially not clearly). I could, for example, picture a scenario where he went to the main index, saw unread messages on the PT forum and thought, for whatever reason, he'd accidentally been given access to that PT. This doesn't necessarily denote access to another PT.

Except that you can't see unread message markers from the main index, and nor can you see them by clicking "view unread posts", because private topics don't show up there either. He had to go into that part of the forum. Going there to explore is quite understandable for a new player but he said that the unread symbol being there was the reason he went there in the first place (582), which it can't have been.

I think there's enough against lufan that especially considering time restraints, it's not unreasonable to ask him to claim. Flavour name and stuff might also be helpful.

My problem isn't so much with him going into a PT, since I did that too when I first started, my problem is the use of his word 'sent' from the post before, suggesting he has business in the PTs, and him posting that he's not supposed to be there.
