Rules

TEAM MAFIA 2015 SPECIFIC RULES

1. The Main Thread has specific Team Mafia rules.
   
2. Replacements are the responsibility of each team. If a player has to be replaced by a game mod (generally 7 days of active game), half a game penalty will be assessed. Teams may find their replacement anywhere, but the Sign Up Thread has a number of people who have volunteered to replace in.
   
3. Game deadlines, particularly Night deadlines, will be adjusted according to the speed of the other games. Twin trap in particular may have significant nights. Nightless will generally has shorter Day deadlines (and will use plurality lynch).
   
4. All mafia teams have Day Talk
   
5. All games have only two parties: a Mafia team and a Town team (or functionally similar teams in the case of theme games). There are no second Mafia teams, there are no third parties.
   
6. Discussing Other Games Is Prohibited
   except in certain circumstances (please see the full Team Mafia Rules for more). Teams that violate this will be warned once, then penalties will be assessed against their team.
   
7. Teams will have access to all game PTs, but teammates should only post in those threads if they are the player actually in the game. Egoposts are not allowed.
   
8. Hydras, alt accounts, etc. will not be allowed in PTs.
   
9. Discussing Token allocation is allowed, but remember not to discuss things going on in other games (including any contradiction).
   
10. Because of the nature of this game, extended VLA should be avoided. If you have to be gone for longer than 7 days, your team should find a replacement -- either temporarily (you may replace back into the same slot -- or permanently.

General:

- Please adhere to the site rules.
- During night phase, no talking may be done in the thread.
- Do not quote PM's from the mod at all (real or fabricated). Paraphrasing is acceptable.
- If you have any questions about your role, or the game, feel free to PM the mod.
- "Bah" posts are not allowed.
- If you break any of these rules, you will probably be modkilled.

Voting/Player Actions:

- All votes must be in bold format: vote: Nexus for example.
- Try to unvote before voting. Unvotes must also be in bold.
- Any and all votes will be counted, if you wish to waste a day phase voting for someone not in the game,that's fine by me.
- You may vote No Lynch.
- Voting tricks are not acceptable. If you misspell someone's name intentionally, but I get the gist of it, the vote will count.
- A lynch will occur once a majority decision is reached. If no majority is reached by deadline, then no lynch shall occur.
- Following a lynch, it is twilight. You may continue to post until I lock the thread and declare it night.
- If you have a Night Action, you may submit it from Night 1 and each subsequent Night. No other time.

Mechanics:

- Blue is my colour. Please don't use it.

- Confirm by how your Role PM tells you to once you are ready to play.
- Do not edit your posts.
- No impossible/hard to read text, or cryptography.
- The Mod may make mistakes - please point out any mistakes gently. Mistakes will be corrected where possible, but sometimes mistakes are made that cannot be reversed. These will stand as final to be commiserated over after the game.
- If you need to get the mod's attention, either PM me, or bold the text you wish to draw to my attention.
- I reserve the right to alter/remove/add any rules as I see fit. You will, of course, be notified if that happens, however.

Good afternoon, one and all, and welcome to the extravaganza that is the 13 player Mini Normal part of Team Mafia 2015. There are thirteen of you, one of me, and a whole host of behind-the-scenes help here, and there's one thing, and one thing only we all care about - the game.

Have fun, be nice, and most of all don't piss off the mod.

Day 1 now begins. The deadline is in 2 weeks, at 6pm on Tuesday 14th April 2015. With 13 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.

My personal call is that he avoided the OMGUS because he thought it would look scummy and didn't want to look scummy. Ergo - he is worried more about looking scummy than going with initial reactions. Thus, he is scum.

Jason was actually my second choice, but not for the OMGUS. I thought he felt nervous, but I wrote it off as team mafia hype.

For me

I get really excited about a game

But you have to wait, right? You sign up, for team mafia we signed up several weeks in advance. I always think about what I'm going to say before I enter, before I even have an alignment.

So I like to come in guns blazing and do crazy stuff and post pictures and vote people that I know and roll dice and all sorts of stuff.

RVS is the gateway to the game, it's where players first get to sniff out each other and cut loose before they get serious.

Ceph has informed me he thinks Jason was trying too hard. I don't know. It's possible, but I totally see myself entering a game and voting for several people, doing crazy things, w/e.

I'm not saying it's impossible to get information from RVS, I'm saying I disagree with this assessment of Jason's post and the reason is I could easily ascribe it to a null tell of a person being goofy in RVS.
