I think it's still used in that. It's usually TP/Ghost

Vlad uses Ghost pretty well, since he can already dodge abilities with pool. Taking him mid and using both Flash and Ghost is magical, though.

real winners take ignite because ignite+hemo is super sick

I can see ignite/ghost being better than ignite/flash if you're in more of a pick comp, though. In an AoE/team fight comp you absolutely need flash because flash-hemo is the most important thing you will do.

Does Vlad's damage amp still affect true damage?

I ask because in season 3 they patched this out for Swain/Talon/Poppy, but maybe non-personal damage amplification is coded differently. They implied they were patching all such amp effects, but Vlad's wasn't mentioned.

First game of my first promo series. I get into lobby and see this.



I'm thinking great. Fuck this elo. We get into game, and before long eve is feeding their Irelia 0/5/0. But looking at his play, he doesn't seem to be trolling. He's just over-aggressive and won't stay under tower. His chat messages look less feeder-troll and more self-deprecating. Turns out the guy was on a

huge

loss streak (confirmed, I checked his match history before game) and was feeling down and had just sorta given up because all his teammates had been flaming him and reporting him. As a team, we were super supportive of him. He got some great solo kills and we all congratulated him in chat. As he started playing better, he seemed a lot happier and more enthusiastic about the game. We ended up winning the game and the guy was ecstatic.

I came so close to dodging in champ select. I would rather a loss in promos than to have to deal with assholes on my team. But don't always be so quick to judge player's by their toxicity, they could be having a bad day.

Anyone tried running smite top for the sickingly good jungle item for tanks?

No. Issue is that you need to create time. Not any tank can run it, you need that and waveclear to bugger off and do some jungle. Tanks that tend to build sunfire top that weren't top tier in the last top tank meta are champions that require help pushing the lane anyway. You can't do it with shen. You are just going to be sitting there with a fancy summoner, clearing waves that are pushed into your tower.

So... bruisers with good/great early waveclear. Shyv, Renekton, Pony, sion maybe, gangplank maybe, garen maybe and after that zac becomes even more awkward. I don't even know if that still counts. Of that list I only play zac. So perhaps it is strong, but it is narrow, and 3 of the 7 champs I named aren't in meta toplaners anyway for all kinds of good reasons.
