1.) Marquis claimed to be a neighborhood investigator and asked neighbors to claim.
2.) Chiv claimed neighbor
3.) Lots of time passed and nobody else claimed neighbor
4.) Cerb claimed that he was Chiv's neighbor and had mod confirmation one-way that Chiv was town, and suggested Marquis investigate him instead of Chiv, as that would clear him and basically give the game a 2nd mason pair
5.) Marquis was targeted by at least one, and possibly two scum factions, which kind of strongly indicates a desire that he NOT investigate Cerb and share the results.
6.) So your entire "he had no town motivation to claim" is just wrong on its face.

Unfortunately Narninian intervention weakens 5). Cerb's faction could have WIFOM killed Marquis and the other faction could have got redirected by Narninian. Straight up bus driver doesn't work here so I didn't consider that.

I think that's everything we know about how everyone's claimed roles relate to the factions/kill flavors/game designers. I put OC and Brantz under the nuked from orbit heading because Brantz power seems like a potential direct counter to a delayed nk that happens during the day, and OC's free nightly commute leaves him invulnerable to standard nk's. It makes sense for them to be in the same game, but there's no proof of it.
Okay just read the last couple pages and a vonflare helping town makes sense here, if he is not the last scum. Everything he says must be taken with a huge grain of salt though.

1) Is it your guys experience that PGO uses the flavor of the shot used on them?
2) PGO kills anyone targeting them, so death should have died N1, so thats not an explanation unless this is soke variant.
3) Could be some kind of reflective power BC has, rather than jailkeeping. Explains both the vyse kill flavor and the result death got. On the night I was investigating to see which game the neighbors came from, my pm to the mod asked for me to target myself, or if that wasn't possible, to targer ChriVi, and the mod had me target myself...so it seems self investigation isn't possible.
So, BC maybe lied. But BCs lie, if its what I think it was, seems like a pretty townie play.
