I'd much prefer to remove the superscripts to make the OP more streamlined, but I won't if there's a high enough demand for them to stay.

I would like feedbackby PMfrom regular newbie mods. Do you find the 1 superscripts beside newbies' names indicating that they've completed at least one game onsite useful? I personally ignore them and just check players' game history--also, the queue becomes out of date if newbies complete games elsewhere after signing up.

Depends on what game you are assigned to. Someone else can give you better specifics.
To get into a newbie game, all you need to do is type: "/in for newbie" and you will be added to the list of games coming up. During that time waiting for your game to start, you can read the original post for the games semi-open setup information as well as helpful links to aid your learning process. If you have questions, PM Mina.
thanks!!
I signed up, I shall wait for game start.- Mina

I check post history. I don't think that the superscript was used when I first started modding so it didn't even occur to me to check it.
EDIT: Meant to hit the 'PM' button, hit 'Quote' by mistake. I shouldn't post when I first wake up.Last edited by starkmoon on Wed May 20, 2015 7:30 am, edited 1 time in total.Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.- Jake from State Farm

What is the purpose of alerting mods to 1 game or not? As a mod to me I never even noticed nor do I check post history. I just take the players I'm assigned.ShowThings I've learned.

Alternatively, if you cannot choose to wait, there is always the option of replacing into an already started game. You will have to cancel your "/in for newbie" before you choose to play your first game as a replacement, which replacements happen frequently and open up faster than a game is started generally.
I suppose I should ask@Minaright now if "/in for replacement" is considered a valid approach to getting into your first game...- Zaicon

Please note Mina said "by PM", complete with an underline. That means that the discussion should not be held here.
While you are certainly free to replace into a Newbie game for your first game, posting '/in for replacement' is not the way to do it. Newbie game mods will post here when they are publicly looking for a replacement, and any players wanting to replace in should contact that mod via PM.↑ LicketyQuickety wrote:Alternatively, if you cannot choose to wait, there is always the option of replacing into an already started game. The mod has to be notified, create the thread, and assign roles and such. Could be 24/48 hours, could even be as early as this evening depending on the mod.ShowThings I've learned.

We aren't supposed to take completely new players for replacements, so it could be relevant to deciding if a newbie can take a replacement spot.Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.- starkmoon
