Fffff, no, I mean, correct me if I'm wrong here, but I was very specifically not talking about myself other than why I confirmed so quickly. That whole paragraph was my theory that scum would delay of game (ZZZX was one of the last two to confirm), which Mollie even commented on later. (preview edit: I actually meant to respond to elusive's bold part about me "trying to look town" since it wasn't me trying to confirm first, it was me trying to confirm asap)

So Grib, I mean, I get skimming the game, or only commenting on specific things, but if you're talking about me purposefully being elusive (excuse my word choice), why wouldn't you pay more attention when trying to find the answer to your question only to paint me for being scummy for "not answering it"...

Please stop implying that I'm not reading the game. I literally read your posts multiple times and didn't get what you were saying, which is why we're still talking about it.

I really wish you would have explained it much earlier. Misunderstandings are kind of embarrassing. Anyway, I'm satisfied.

A problem I have with your theory is that it doesn't take into account that some people are just busy IRL and can't get to the thread as soon as they'd like to. It makes sense that scum would want to prolong their pregame conversation, but aside form being a starting point for scumhunting, it's kind of meh.

singer and I had a miscommunication issue, and that was mostly my fault. This has nothing to do with scumhunting styles.

I know elusive is scumhunting because this is what she does every game. Also, I find your reasoning for not answering her questions (besides 'I don't want to') to be stupid.

Gotta say I agree with elusive. Especially as a statistician for a living, I don't see quantitative basis for it in a game where deception is a part of it. There's a whole bunch of WIFOM possible with trying to /confirm early, or it could just be town. So I see elusive's point. Maybe there's some merit to the theory for newbies though. But yeah, singer's still town AND I agree with elusive on the theory side.

Let me set up the scenario for you:
I get my role PM and confirm asap to eliminate as much pregame talk as possible.
I go to work.
I come home from work, people seem to have lost their shit that I haven't commented on anything yet.
I catch up.
I comment.
I vote based on people not having confirmed yet based on the theory that they want/need to extend that period as much as possible. Could it be scheduling? Sure! Why not let that happen organically instead of pooh poohing all over my theory immediately.

I liked her approach. I especially liked her jump on Metal Sonic for what was pretty much a weird push on Mollie. Her thought process makes a lot of sense to me.

I don't much care about the RQS stuff one way or the other. I'm not doing it now because today was hellish at work and I am exhausted, but I probably will later just because I kinda like Elusive (not alignment-indicative). I don't like Elusive's slam at Molly, but I'm filing that into things that will resolve naturally or blow up later.

I wasn't enthused about the SingerSigner thing (I think a lot of people jumped the gun and started posting before the thread was even officially opened). This means I didn't RVS vote.

Mollie-Froggie is town because this is town-Mollie. Ika is probably town because he's really proactive and that's the opposite of what I've seen from him as scum.

I'm twitchy about ZZZX but if he starts lurking that's time enough for me to jump on him. I'm not interested in policy lynching for something that might not even happen.

Sorry for not a lot of insight but I'm shaky tired and I'm doing this because I promised I would do it tonight.

Singer, I think what strikes me as weird is bringing up what seems like a very questionable theory and then stating that you confirmed as soon as possible to fit with that questionable theory? It's like me saying, asking RQS questions is a town tell so as soon after my confirm post I then made up some RQS questions to fit the town tell. I'm just trying to figure out why you would bring up a theory that seems so substance-less to justify a vote on XXXZ and also use it to explain why you confirmed when you did. Like I believe in Occam's Razor and your explanations are more complicated then the actions.

Anyway, beyond that what are your thoughts or meta on Bookitty?

Frogging, I have a small sample on MS myself but I might just go through the last 10 games in Mini Theme Game Queue and see what is what. Maybe Newbie Queue as well to see how it matches up. I like theories that can be supported by numbers of some sort.
