Whoever gifted you knows the modifier on your power I would assume, so you can't lie about that...so there's no place or reason for a godfather in a game with weak cop powers.

While I agree that Shakira is almost certainly town, I don't agree with this idea. In fact, I'd wager there

a godfather in this game.

I don't think the weak cop is really that weak... It either confirms a player as town (unless there's a godfather) or it leads to a one for one trade. One for one trades are excellent for town almost always.

I'm dead tired tonight, but it seems to me like we can fairly easily jointly determine an optimal weak cop target from this point forward. No one else should target the player in question. Whoever the weak cop inventor is gives it to null reads, and they target as appointed. That way we're not losing conftown, and scum are incentivized into suboptimal nightkills. The commuter inventor is basically a doctor, and should target based on that. Does anyone see any flaws with this logic right now? I'm about to pass out, so fine toothed comb if you'd please.

I support the town choosing the investigation target. I don't support the 'giving to null reads' part of this plan.

You say that "scum are incentivized into suboptimal night kills", but that's where I disagree. I think scum would search for the inventor that gives the weak cop role rather than try to knock off the recipient - the best way to prevent future investigations is to kill the provider (and there

is

evidence as to their identity, it wouldn't be a crapshoot).

We probably won't have the cop-inventor for long (if it's town-aligned), so I think they should just give to their townreads. It's inevitable that townish players will die, I don't want to risk scum getting the inventions.

The frustrating thing is getting the last two, since...

The votes aren't there yet, but I'm trying to get them there. The only question is whether they'd be on Sonic or on Flubber. My preference being on Sonic.

I've done PLENTY to get people to follow me. Literally everything I've been saying, all the evidence I've been saying, all the "psst, that's because they're scum", the VCA, everything in my iso, is to that purpose.

The godfather modifier does nothing in a game where the only power that allows alignment investigation kills the investigator if they find scum. The result they get back is immaterial, because the proof that they investigated scum or were nkd isin the fact that they died. That's assuming investigating a godfather would kill a weak cop, which seems like the obvious result to me. You're killed due to the alignment of your target, not due to the result they return.

Also...FYI, we need to see a link from the chains flip at some point in the next couple days. Or bad things could happen. Probably shouldn't elaborate any more.

Problem is that though we clear 1 town every night, scum also clear 1 person every night. So it's a trade thing.

And Bins is dying because that one Neighborized scum, figured out they were scum (or at least Sonicscum thought she had) through their PT, and had to be killed or because scum are thinking they can slide by on setting a townie up for mislynch. In most games someone claiming PR on D1 isn't taken seriously by scum, and in this case that one is having enough suspicion to have a wagon worthy of VCA as well. Scum are only killing that one either because they are having to or to misdirect town. Otherwise the risk is far too great to be considering that one for night kill just yet. A man is taking some offense scum are thinking he's such an easy target for mislynch.
