In other news, a quick check in after dropping my friend off at the station and all that seems to be happening is a bunch of yelling about plans.

If I get a weak cop invent tonight, I'll be targetting Sonic Boom.

Mastin Plan- We each claim a target each day and a result the day after.

Hides the inventor pretty well, which is not a pproblem due to the whole, we have a cop thing. Doesn't give very good innos or guilties.


Generic Plan Cop- inventor targets as he pleases. Cop targets as he pleases. At the beginning of each day, the cop claims his target

Cons: There are no guilties. Period. And there's nothing to prevent scum from doing fuckall if they get the cop, so the innocents aren't very trustworthy.

These are essentially the same thing, and for town's interest the best course of action. Following either of these keeps town's investigations obfuscates from scum unless scum happen to be given the Cop ability. As of right now, there's a 13:4 ratio so there's only a 25% chance of that happening (assuming the Cop Inventor us even town).

Mastin's plan;
I completely disagree that this plan doesn't give good guilties, given that it seems inevitable for the cop inventor to claim soon anyway (and they don't even have to claim if we flip a coin correctly and go after the right guy). This seems like a great plan aside from the ease at which a scum role blocker could screw with us. Scum could easily prevent one of their members being caught, but there's also enough WIFOM present that I'm not comfortable lynching someone just because they're investigator didn't get a result.


Lying Cat's plan;
My only (small) issue with this plan is that scum know who is getting investigated each night. So if one of their members is getting investigated, they can just no-kill and when the investigator dies, it just looks like a regular night kill because nobody else died. I still think that scum are going to chase for the inventor rather than the recipient, but I really like the chain aspect of this plan.

If scum follow the chain, then their kill turns into a second town lynch (if the inventor chooses scummy people), which seems very powerful. And we get information from their flips.


TL;DR - I prefer Lying Cat's plan.

What? No, I mean seriously. Your first stated problem with my plan is nonsense, and has already been addressed. Your second stated problem with the plan is fucking stupid.

Not killing an Innocent does not make them not an innocent. Antihero told me in sitechat months ago that godfathers are stupid and lazy setup design. There is not a fucking godfather in this setup.

Did you bother reading the thread? Are you scum being intentionally densedense? I can't believe you're that stupid. It's not possible.

Pedit- I'll check discussions, but I can't remember them specifically coming up. I did just wreck him using a redirect as scum though, so I'll look at his reactions there.

1. Lying Cat's right, your issues with the plan are complete balderdash. You say town gains no info, but what about the deaths of players that town suspects? The WIFOM point is also complete garbage - if scum don't kill Player A in the chain on a particular night, then that's perfectly okay because the next cop in the chain is literally investigating Player A that same night. It's a good plan, and you're being ignorant.
