Steven gasped enthusiastically at Lars' display of coolness; Lars basked in the admiration, even if it was coming from Steven. Like most good moments, Steven had to ruin it.

"Do you fight monsters too? I can't be the only cool dude in Beach City that's defending humanity! I've got a shield but I'm still learning to use it--I wonder what your weapon would be like, Lars! I bet you'd get..."

Steven continued to talk, pumping his fists and then thrusting his belly forward several times, making little whooshing noises to match. With a groan, Lars tried to look like he wasn't associated with this kid. Of course, that's exactly then Buck Dewey strolled out of Fish Stew Pizza. Lars slumped down, trying to escape into some shadow where he wouldn't be seen with the still-rambling Steven.

"...and then Garnet was all 'that is not my donut' and--Oh, hey Buck!"

"Steven. How's it rollin'?"

"With four wheels... probably? I was just telling Lars here--"

Lars coughed and sputtered. Not only did Steven know Buck, but they were on first-name basis!? Lars scrambled for something cool to say, but just as the words came to him, something exploded from underneath the boardwalk, sending splinters everywhere.

The next few moments came as a blur to Lars;
The weird women Steven lives with were there, slinging shining weapons.
There was some sort of one-eyed giant crab fighting them.
Steven was standing over him and everything was pink.

When all the noise finally died down and Lars came to, Steven was still at his side. Grouped around him were Steven's weird friends--the tall afro-lady, the pale ballerina, and the annoying girl who keeps breaking the dumpster.

"Yay! We saved you, Lars!"

The pale woman sighed, as if dejected, "But we couldn't defeat that monster and bubble its gem. It's still out there."

The tall one was stalwart in her simple reply, "All that matters is that we saved the city. Right, Steven?"

"Right!"

Steven smiled to Lars. Was that supposed to be reassuring? Forget that! Lars scrambled up and shook his head. There was no way the Cool Kids would hang with him now that they knew he fainted at the sight of monsters. Even worse, there were actual monsters! Lars huffed and backed away from Steven and the weird women that gathered around him. "No. No--I'm getting out of here! You guys can deal with this stupid junk on your own! Ugh, Steven, you ruin everything!"

The Gems finally managed to trap the crab monster in a seaside cave, but the terrain proved far too dangerous for Steven to continue. "I'll watch over him," volunteered Pearl, although, with hesitance, she added, "Although Amethyst should stay too. If she fights in that cave, it may all come crashing down."

Amethyst growled in protest, "Would not! Ugh! You

Pearl, in a matter-of-a-fact tone, replied, "That's because you

break everything you can when you fight. Garnet, tell Amethyst I'm right--Garnet?" She was gone. While Amethyst and Pearl argued, Garnet had already disappeared into the cave. Pearl looked back to Amethyst sheepishly while Steven pleaded, "Guuys. Please don't fight."

Hours passed as Steven and Amethyst found ways to occupy the time. After playing tic-tac-toe in the sand and chasing each other around the beach, they eventually realized they were waiting too long. Steven piped up, "Pearl? You should go check up on Garnet."

"You're right. She's usually much more punctual than this," Pearl nodded.
With that, Pearl disappeared into the cave, only to return minutes later with tears streaming down her face, something clasped between her hands. Steven and Amethyst drew close and Pearl opened her closed palms in silence. In her hands were two gems, fractured and on the brink of shattering. She formed a bubble around both and the three returned to their temple, defeated.

Cheetory6 was broken beyond recognition during Episode 1's Climax.

Looks more to me like marquis was the nk. It fits as a low info kill kinda sorta with a hint of PR fishing. Cheets flip probably didn't show just because he died as a result of marquis dieing or something.

Also iirc cheet was under a bit more fire than marquis anyway so to me cheet to me makes lense sense as the scum kill than marquis. Although either would be kinda strange.

Regardless my mind doesn't go directly to janitor but I guess that's a possibility.

I think you have that backwards. Marquis was Sapphire and he was NKed. Cheet was Ruby and he died because Marquis died. That's the way I read it anyway. (Read Marquis' role)
