So I played my first normal game on OCE with Espeonage and we won~ I mean, I kept forgetting to use heal and my shield to keep him alive sometimes which really pissed me off later but yeah, we still won! (Support Leona, by the way. A champion that I'm going to main after failures with previous champions I've tried out)

I'm seriously enjoying this game more but I know I'll get torn down if I play any Normals without friends...

Oh, I played on NA, just like now. Lost first bot game playing solo and I had the worst time. Stressed out and everything so yeah. I think it's official that I can not play this without at least one friend.

Well, I'll be sure to give my newbie commentary for my experiences of playing League with Friends! I don't think I'll ever be an expert in this game either.

You played really well. Got me really fed too which was awesome. You did really good for a first normal game and considering how new you are to the game you're already doing really well. I'm happy to keep teaching you whenever we get a chance.

that's what's important - i don't remember things from playing this game like actual plays and the like (with one exception involving shanba) but i do remember the times spent playing games with friends, and how much i greatly enjoyed that time (which was pretty rough on me, to be honest) spent with them

because of this i regret probably 90% of the posts i've made in this thread and the things i've said playing this game

the tl;dr behind my last post and what i'm trying to say here is that i don't get anymore why people get so annoyed at each other over theorythings in this thread as self-proclaimed experts anymore - my time in FFXIV and my growth as a person in general has shown that it's more than possible to have a very reasoned debate and still remain afterwards (i was one of the top of the world in FFXIV at one point, and i decided that the way people treated each other in the group i was in was not worth it)

what's important is finding people you enjoy playing with (i've been playing with members of my current FFXIV raid group as post-raid winddown and stuff to do on our days off) and playing with them, not being the most knowledgeable or having the biggest theory-dick

Elise buffs are huge.

If you've practiced her at the time she was OP back in season 3 you should basically have no trouble snowballing early leads for your laners in soloqueue.

Problem with Elise still remains that her kit is completely broken and either overnerfed or too strong.

Okay, so, this is just me going along with each of them

Passive: So if you manage to position yourself on the right side of the enemy, you deal extra damage, and if you're quick enough you can do this multiple times in succession. This should make items like Phage nearly vital on her if you want to proc it as often as possible.

Q: no longer point-and-click (Same treatment as Ryze and Veigar Qs), but allows for a lower cooldown if you successfully strike, prioritizes enemy champions (so if a minion and champ are standing next to each other she'll go for the champ; what if the champ's behind a minion?), and now applies on-hit (which sounds new because I don't recall Lunge ever applying on-hits as it is now). Kinda nice, I suppose, but I liked the double-lunge because it allowed for better gap-closing. It does act like a dash, though, so yay for mobility around the map.

W: Ooo, this actually looks interesting. So she can actually slow if she successfully parries instead of just rebounding damage, and if she counters hard CC she stuns instead (probably doesn't work against un-CC-able abilities like Malph ult, etc.). Seems like it punishes using it blindly (which I guess is a fix over prepping W before Q-ing in and ulting a target for a free round or two), but allows for better closing if you can stop, say, an Ashe ult to the face to get right up at her. It also mentions that W completely negates

all

damage from the ability it stops, but not effects, so that might stymie burst heavy champs quite a bit.

E: Basically a one-two hit; first trike sets up the crit strike. Perhaps can be reset with Q? (aka activate E, auto, Q, auto). Feels a little lacking compared to burst of Speed, though.

R: If you loved her for her ability to one-shot, this is a step down. However, if you can get this off in a teamfight it's like a huge reset ala Janna ult without the knockback. Killing the champ procs it as well as hitting all four points, plus she gets bonus speed for being in the zone. I imagine the max health is based of the enemy's max health, which makes it sound like a good tank-buster.

Her new pose is okay, but really, ditch the purple hair. Her black-with-red-highlights was much better. Really, that'd better be a skin and not her new look.
