Dr Who, here's my list:
Town Reads

Keyser - Shows logical and genuine interest in finding scum
Dr Who - Woody came off pretty town and I'm pretty sure scum was pushing him. Later in the game, wagon analysis should be fun here.
Zoro - I can't question any of what he's had to say since Page 2.

Weak Town

Bulb - He seems like his usual self, but I have yet to see his scum game and his town game appears scummy so it's hard to say but he's near the bottom of my town pile for now. I have a few specific things I'm looking for before I commit to a stronger read on him
RedCoyote- I'd like it if he talked more, but he seems to believe most of what he says so meh I'll stick him here.
Haschel - He's borderline between this category and the next one down. I want to say his catchup post looked like someone looking for scum legitimately, but I also feel like the flashing light strawman accusation against me when I almost quoted whoever it was word for word was pretty far off. I'm not sure how read I am to shrug that off as "too blatant to be scum". That's also my only issue with him so meh.

Might be scum if my scum reads are wrong

TonyMontana- Hasn't said much. Has said even less that I like
Ban - I have nothing to suggest he is scum except weak gut and sheeping other people's points. I have even less to suggest he is town

Scum read that I'm starting to second guess

Absta - Plenty against him in my ISO, but I doubt he's scum with Boon or BBT so I'm willing to sort him later.

Weak Scum

Redff- not sure why but I get a "not genuinely scumhunting" vibe.

Scum reads

BlueBloodedToffee- I've said plenty here. Didn't like his Woody push, especially once he started attacking the wagon but continued to scumread Woody.
Boonskiies - see my vote and recent ISO

Basically boon and redff. I can understand some other wagons but they aren't screaming scum for me.

Woody's slot I have to see more from his replacement

Boon for obvious reasons and I'll explain redff a little more when I get to a computer

BlueBloodedToffee, I'm going to have to go back to this:
Keyser Söze wrote:I felt your vote reluctantly went on absta101, then it came off him very fast - but I'll need to re-read that exchange.

You replied:
BlueBloodedToffee wrote:I was reading Absta vs Redff and I don't see that as scum vs scum at all and if I were to vote between those two I think I would vote Red - which caused me to have doubts about my Absta scum read.

Can you explain why you initially voted for absta101?
BlueBloodedToffee wrote:For now though;

VOTE: Absta

When you unvoted absta101, did you think absta101-redFF was town vs werewolf or town vs town? If
town vs werewolf
, did you want to put pressure on redFF? Are you now town-reading absta101 based purely on the possibilty of redFF being scum/town?

This flip-flop on absta101 concerns me - plus, the fact you were happy to leave absta101-redFF alone and then re-direct your focus on TonyMontana.

I didn't say you didn't quote him; I felt that the only reason for your followup question would have been to imply that he was hypocritical for only focusing on Woody, especially with the way you phrased it. "Do you feel they'd scumhunted better than Woody?" feels like a leading question*; the only possible answer is "No", which then would have given you ammunition to attack.

*may not be the exact term I looking for but I don't feel like looking it up right now.

Well I'm phone posting so I can't give specifics, but his reads seem to move and shift too quickly with no explanation. And he tries to defend himself basically by calling himself a VI and just declaring he is town. I also know that I would never self vote as town as I see no scenario where it would be helpful.

Reading back a bit, Banakai makes this statement without context.

Banakai wrote:Also red ff is town

And then a few posts later "backs up what he meant"
Banakai wrote:Because his posts are a towns posts.

I ISO'd redFF up to this point, and the only thing of note that he had done was jump on the Woody bandwagon to put it at L-1.

@Banakai
, what did redFF specifically do in his
eight
posts before 195 that made you think he is town?

In fairness to redFF, he did unvote.
redFF wrote:unvote

didn't kno it was l-1, still think ur scummy

Kmd4390 wrote:Hmm. Upset at the claim, but used "lol" twice in that post.

kmd scores townpoints because he's the first to point it out, and the "lol" he is referring to was from redFF regarding woody's claim. The double lol makes me think that redFF is scum and in reality loves that the town is already claiming.

Spoiler: example of BBT's infatuation with Woody
BlueBloodedToffee wrote:
WoodyWoodpecker wrote:
Cause I was playing swordigo on my phone and didn't notice a wagon had formed

WoodyWoodpecker wrote:
And I'd be like "cause I totally didn't see it" and it would be the truth because when I came back to the thread it was on page 2, he got votes on page 3

WoodyWoodpecker wrote:I also don't always go back and read what I miss right away id rather stay with current discussion

Upon closer inspection it appears that Woody can't decide what he did/didn't do.

In 55, he 'didn't notice' a wagon had formed. This would imply that he had been reading but missed the wagon forming.

In 63, he claims again that he didn't see the wagon. Again, this implies that he had read the whole game and had simply missed the votes accumulating on Haschel. Although, the section attached at the end implies that he had not gone back to read the thread, the start of his change in stance and to the reasoning he chooses to stay with.

Then in 73, he claims that he didn't go back and read the thread and this is the story he tries to stay with. His reasoning for ignoring the Haschel wagon very subtly changes and it changes to something that he claims he does all the time.

The wording of the posts are quite important because he is more relaxed during the earlier posting and it much more likely to make subtle mistakes. As the pressure starts mounting, his story changes to something that he claims he does all the time and I find this super convenient for his situation.

The other thing that I really don't like is his 'stay with current discussion' comment. The current discussion at that time was ongoing games...what did he expect to gain from that? Once he saw that the discussion was about ongoings why would he a) not read back to see how that topic come up or b) read back to see if there was anything he missed that he could actually comment on and change the current discussion to something useful?

Quite frankly, if someone either a) doesn't care enough to read the whole thread to gain context or b) quite regularly misses things (convenient play-style for scum, no?) then I don't particularly want them around even if they're town.

Now contrast how BBT vs. Woody to BBT vs. RedFF.
BlueBloodedToffee wrote:
redFF wrote:if u iso woodywoodpecker he has a LOT of posts, very little, if any, scumhunting. the posts are mainly contentless/defending himself
vote:woodywoodpecker

This is a bad jump on the wagon. There are a couple of votes that I want to look closely at regarding the Woody wagon and this is one of them.

Can you explain why it is scummy to defend yourself? In Woody's defence, it's extremely difficult to scum hunt when you have 4-5 people voting/attacking you.

Posting before backreading does not make one scum. In fact, if when you back read you re-read what was "current" you get more context and the benefit of reading things twice. Pushing a bullshit case is scummy.

Regarding redFF's premature L-1 on Woody, I'd argue that it is infinitely more scummy than posting before backreading. Now the kicker is that BBT recognized it too, and said that it was a bad jump on the wagon. Yet BBT (so far) isn't hunting redFF nearly as much. The BBT quote above is only part of a much larger post on many other topics.

Scum coming in late on a wagon and claiming they didn't know the vote count is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

KS : Something about your WW push comes across as insincere here. This is too try hard.
BBT : I like this post. Solid points against absta.

I feel like BBT and I have a good report, and I've been successful at reading him in every game I've played with him so far afaik. His posts sound like townBBT.

I also like Bulba. comes across as fittingly argumentative.

---

KS 289 wrote:If I could hear the thought-process of his 'possible scum' read it would aid my read on him.

Your posts don't always feel germane to the situation. I do not get the feeling that your arguments and points are delivered in a way that is scumhunting so much that it is you appearing to scumhunt. I've already pointed out what I've seen as some potential buddying from you, but now I'm getting this rush of overkill from you re: WW. It doesn't feel sincere and I wonder if this was the endgame all along (that you'd inevitably end up at the "WW is too easy" spot).

---

absta 294 wrote:Why is KS possible scum?
Why is HC town?

See above.

I have appreciated HC's blunt and straight forward thoughts. It's refreshing to see that in a game where you kind of have to posture somewhat regardless of alignment. HC has a knack for getting on my good side though. Despite our disagreements, he's asking pointed questions that should be asked.

---

is a good KS post unless KS and Bulba are scumpartners. I don't think scumKS has reason to take the time to not only help clarify Bulba's comments, but do so in a way that paints him in a good light.

---

absta 312 wrote:then he starts talking about what he likes and what he doesn't like

So you don't like my fluff and you don't like when I opine on what I find townie/scummy? I don't know if you've left me much else to give you, friend...

---

I love Boonskiies start to the game which is odd because I'm not used to liking much of what Boonskiies posts. Good start against absta. I hadn't really gotten any of the scumreads people were selling on absta until .

...but then absta brings up a good point and I wonder if Boonskiies is moving too fast for his own good.

absta 374 wrote:What in the world is this? Your two scum reads are me and Keyser, why would you jump on the RC waggon saying you got nothing?
RC according to you was null-town and then you swap this to leaning-scum because he only has 1 post. My question is, why was he null-town?

Very odd for Boonskiies to not stick to his guns on his initial reads and instead cave the second BBT asked him to do so. It tells me that his reads did not have a lot of sincerity to them. Then again, this is Boonskiies. I know that he likes to votehop and can turn on a dime. Still, it's worth bringing up.

---

redFF 400 wrote:said he loves the playerlist and wishes we were playing in real time and then lurks ?????

I'm still waiting to drop a fat townread on the first person with the common sense to take two seconds and look at my sitewide posting history and mention that I'm not specifically ignoring this game.

redFF 440 wrote:ww was an awful player but probably be town, will make a vote later

I do not know if I agree with WW as town yet. I need to see Doctor Who post some more.

VOTE: Doctor Who

This is where my vote should've been, by all rights. I'll change it if I find something better as I read on.

---

absta 449 wrote:You should realise by spamming all these small posts you are hurting town. It makes the game harder to follow for everyone else.

Amen.

Unlike absta/KS, I think Boonskiies explanation of his vote on me was okay. I could stand for him to be less defensive about it, but the story checks out.

absta, Boonskiies, BBT, HC and Zoro are all giving me town vibes right now.

---

Zoro 465 wrote:He's probably scum. So is Red. I'm looking for the third player at the moment.

absta, Boonskiies, BBT, HC and
Zoro
are all giving me town vibes right now.

I don't like this, Zoro. You are supporting from afar. This is exactly what I disliked about WW as well. Further, why are you looking for all three scum on D1? How about you try focusing on pressuing one person you find to be scummy? How about showing us your work rather than just throwing random names out there and calling them scum?

---

Banakai 472 wrote:I bought idiot town for woody, but I have a hard time believing this slot was simply idiot town twice.

What difference does this make to the slot's alignment whatsoever? Further, I don't buy the substance behind the vote.

---

I like Doctor Who's start so far, but would like to see him place down a vote.

I also like HC's Banakai case, and given that I know deep down I want to give Doctor Who more room to grow with us (my WW case was always on the weak end, but given that I wasn't around during most of the juicy bits, I couldn't really express that through voting as clearly as I would've liked).

UNVOTE: Doctor Who; VOTE: Banakai

For right now, consider me a sheep, though I have a couple of points of my own I would like to sprinkle in later (this catchup post will be long enough without me writing this out).
