How do you tell if someone is scripting? Because I've been really suspicious before.

Can whole games be scripted or is it for very specific things like canceling AAs or always making sure (for instance) the Vayne gets an AA in for Silver Bolt proccing? Or is it Rakas with better Q prediction or is it better hooks or...? I'm unclear on what it can do, really, let alone how to watch out for it.

I mean, if you can dream it, it's probably possible to script it. There's a script that lets you Jinx ult someone who is recalling at low health so they die in the fountain precisely. It can't possibly be difficult to script perfect skillshot dodges.

I have been up against Vaynes that are just doing ten times as much damage to me while moving towards me as other Vaynes and have felt suspicious that it had to be frame perfect autoattack cancels that was getting the extra damage in. Obviously there are also players that have really good technical skill and can do that kind of thing manually, they just don't spend as much time in silver 5 as I do. A lot of the things scripts can do are things that humans can practice and get good at, like autoattack animation cancelling, which is practically fetishized by ex DOTA players as a skill differential. So it makes it hard to pick out.

For me personally the problem is having to deal with games that matchmaking thinks I have a 50% chance to win but I have a 10 or 90% chance to win because the matchmaker doesn't know which player installed scripts yesterday. So it is not very distinct from Elo boosting in that regard. The only thing that makes me guess I'm seeing scripting and not ELO boosting is when they don't do so great at certain auxillary skills.

No offense, but the real scripters aren't in silver. They're usually around the Diamond 5 to 2 range because of scripts.

I've been really enjoying playing Quinn lately, but what am I supposed to do with her ult? I've been using it to chase dying targets and finish them off with the aoe or to flee when I'm being chased, but are there other scenarios where I should use it?

I think you're mostly supposed to wait a patch or two until they change all the marksmen, likely including Quinn.

Currently you can use it to execute or use it to escape while split-pushing.

FWIW, the ADCs confirmed as part of the marksmen update is Quinn, Miss Fortune, Caitlyn, Kog'Maw, Lucian/Graves (more specifically making them less similar), and Vayne (Vayne will be getting tweaks at this point, but no clue if she's getting a rework or not). I expect to see Twitch appear as well, because of his E. Ezreal is confirmed NOT eing a part o this update, and I'd be surprised if Ashe or Tristana saw anything at all due to their recent-ish reworks.

From what I've read, this isn't a matter of "may" or may not.

Riot Scruffy's exact words were "Yes, we hope for a nearly full overhaul. Some old ones modified some new ones." so I'm sure we can expect something similar in scope to the Mage item rework if not more extensive. Runaan's itself is getting an update, and "crit items and effects will be updated" - hopefully to be more Ashe-like overall. I'm especially excited about his comment that "we're trying to set up multiple items that will compete for a slot."

One thing I've been having fun with in each game (where I already know the champ I'm playing) is trying to shift what I build to counter what I need to deal with on the enemy team, and I'm excited for more options when it comes to AD itemization, especially for non-caster ADCs.

And I'd like to see something like Frozen Mallet be a viable item for AA-reliant carries. Imagine a Kalista or Caitlyn with Runaan's>BC>Mallet and the damage to back it up.

Also, can someone tell me/remind me why Runaan's Kalista is more favored over an standard build path? I figure it has to do with Rend, but.

Same reason BORK+Runaan's Twitch is a thing. Their Es stack on the bolts, don't they?
More things have more Venom / Spears = more things dying when you press E.

Oh right, that's happening. I unlocked her and now I'm curious to see what they'll do to her, I imagine she can only get better.


Now I'm worried about Kalista though. I hope they don't forget all the nerfs they did to her while they're focused on those other marksmen. Even if they don't change anything about her, I hope the new items will make her compete with the updated champions, or I'm afraid she'll just fade away.

Runnan's + BotRK is one of my favorite combos. It's beautiful on Kalista, but I also love buying it on casters when I play ARAM or bots, it's so fucking fun.

I was rather explicit that I don't think they are stabilizing in silver, and that was my point, so I really don't follow.
