I'm looking for a replacement for species in Newbie 1686. It's Day 1 with about 5 days left until deadline, and only 10 pages in. It is a newbie slot, so anyone other than a newbie already in their first game is welcome to replace in. Please contact me via private message me if you're interested.
I'm stealing The MM (Newbie) and PrivateI (SE) and heyboxgaminig (SE) to replace southernoutlaw2199, hi im Yakko, and kingcod, respectively, in Newbie 1688.
Newbie 1689 needs a replacement for Lucky7, who hasn't picked up their role PM. This is a newbie slot so any player not currently playing their first MS newbie game is eligible. Priority will be given to true newbies for the first few hours.
PM me if you'd like to join this game!
Taken by Dewy.
Thanks!

Hey everyone! Looking for a replacement for Briefs in Newbie 1683 (Day 2, 28 pages). It's a newbie slot, so any newbies who wish to replace in will get first priority; however, I will also take people who would be in SE/IC slots!
Newbie 1684 (Day 2, 17 pages) needs a replacement for Ozzie72. As this is a newbie slot, anyone can replace in except for players currently in their first game. Priority will be given to newer players. Please PM me!
Having never played on this site I'm officially a newbie and would like to /sign for the next full game.
A few questions in preparation:
1. How long does a newbie lobby normally take to fill?
2. What are the day/night phase lengths for newbie games?
3. Are all newbie games variable open setups?
4. Are there activity/post count requirements?
5. Are gifs allowed in game? If so what are those commands?
6. Is the distribution of players such that experienced players will be balanced amongst town and mafia?
7. Do these games use hammer voting? (And does hammer automatically end day phase?)
8. Are last wills allowed?
9. What are the commands to vote a player?
10. Do Mafia share day and/or night private chat in newbie games?
11. How many questions are considered excessive? :-O
I appreciate any help!
Thanks in advance,
-Frog
P.S. Is there any way to claim the unused 'Frog' handle? I've been using it on SC2Mafia and MafiaUniverse for a few years now.

Spoiler:
Depends! Right now, based on Mina's ISO, it's about 1-5 days. Check post 0 for information on this.
Usually Days are 2 real-life (RL) weeks and Nights are 2 RL days. This varies from mod to mod and from game to game.
All Newbie Games are all the same variable Open (or Semi-Open) Setup. Check post 0 for information on this.
Yes, but exact requirements vary from mod to mod and from game to game.
Yes, but most mods will ask that you use them sparingly or in spoilers. In general, be reasonable when using colored text or gifs in-game. As for the BBCode...
That will embed any image in your post, including animated gifs. It has to be a direct image link.
No, player distribution is random.
Not sure how to answer this question. Yes?
Not in the sense you mean, I'm fairly certain. Once you've gotten enough votes to be lynched, you may sometimes have time to post game content before the mod posts a vote count with your official death and locks the thread for Night, but after you have been declared dead by the mod you cannot post at all, whether you were lynched or killed at Night.
Being unfamiliar with day phases longer than 48 hours, I'm a bit wowed by the game day length being 2 weeks. :-O
And about hammer voting - not all sites use hammer voting. I.E. Hammer Voting = As soon as majority vote is reached that player is officially lynched.
The alternative to hammer voting are variants of time voting. For example, it doesn't matter who gains majority vote at any time of day other than whoever has either majority vote, or most votes by the end of the day. Ties may either be randomized or result in a no-lynch (or in custom setup rules result in a random town lynch, endless possibilities, etc.)
