Can you go into more detail here, please? If you're talking about laning phase, then the reason she is so fragile in the early game is that it only takes one mistake for the lane to turn around into the enemy's favor since it's actually really difficult
↑ Randomnamechange wrote:If she gets ahead she actually has nice ad mid if shes hitting spikes before the enemy can build armour (similar to tristana)
She's an AA-centric ADC past the early game, which needs more than an IE+Zeal Item to really kick in as a powerspike. Her passive isn't as strong a steroid as the flat stats other ADCs do until she has items to make it strong, and her core buys are expensive enough that you'd have to crush your lane to have a strong mid game. Although in pretty much every situation that this would apply in, it would apply no matter which champion you are.
She is very hard to assassinate. She can drop a trap on herself, use her E, and is generally hard to get to due to her range.
I disagree. I've been able to take over games with IE + rapid fire cannon. She doesn't have to crush lane to hard (especially at low mid elo) due to it being easier to pick up early kills. I just feel like she is strong atm.-

My experience with assassins says the opposite. Just with the champion that has dashes, Lucian and Ezreal have better tools to get away from assassins once they're on top of you, Tristana's gets you farther away and she has her ult for self-peel, Vayne can either stealth or just dash+knockback you away, and Corki's takes you farther and deals DPS if they try to follow you. Kalista's is the only one that is actually comparible to Caitlyn's, but she gets more control over her dashes and they're more numerous.
Even if the assassin can't directly get to you because of positioning, it's entirely possible that you can just be zoned out of the fight entirely by the possibility of him jumping on you since you really don't have a strong answer to it.
The only time I'm able to deal with assassins effectively as Caitlyn compared to other champions is if they either misplay the fight badly or if I have my flash up and peel. She doesn't have strong self-peel otherwise unless you set it up beforehand with traps, which a good assassin would already be taking into account for getting to you in the first place.
---
If you can take over games with Caitlyn as two items, then you can do it with a lot less trouble with someone like Corki or Lucian, who spike hard at that same point in the game. Essence Reaver is too ridiculous of an item right now, and a combination of shorter game times and IE being a worse item by itself than it used to be makes champions that rely on solely their AAs for damage later in the game significantly less impactful than they were in past seasons (I'm assuming season 5 was this way since apparently Jinx was super strong by the end? I didn't play season 5 at all until the very ass end of it, so I'm not sure on that). Once the meta shifts the other way so that AA-centric champions are the strongest ADCs again and games can more easily stall to late game, Caitlyn will almost certainly be a very strong pick since she's both AA-centric and strongest in the late game. Until then, she's not a strong pick.- Psyche

Let's agree to disagree. I feel that cait has a huge dps advantage due to her range and as long as you have some form of peel you wont die in fights.- Papa Zito

every time I have a Riot employee on my team, he says positive things like "let's do this" in the champion select, then demand top, goes 0/10 in lane, and then loses the game for our team
he does say gg in the post game chat thoMy favorite site mod is Zor Tester.
I have Brandi's autograph! I bet you're jealous.- PJ.

Thing is if a riot employee was actually good at the game, they likely would just make a living streaming instead of working for riot, that and they don't get as many sheer hours to play the game as you would think depending on their job (and may be just looking for specific things like game breaking bugs).Saved by my own stupidity \o/

I just had the pleasure of going top and losing in a game with a riot player on the enemy mid lane.
And then I played support on the same team as bigfatjiji / bigfatlp. I did an amazing 1/10/5 performance against master tier 331lp adc / diamond 3 support bot lane.
How the fuck I got in a game with these people while being plat 3 60 lp, don't ask me. I have no clue.Last edited by RayFrost on Sat Mar 05, 2016 1:49 am, edited 1 time in total.don't you feel silly now?- Psyche
