Sorry, I worded it badly. I should've said "In non-high ELOs".

I was referring to the calling me as an ADC trash to enable.

Yes, I understood that. My point is that ADCs are trash outside of high ELOs.

Ankamius is right, with a caveat, I've been every where from B5 to G1. I've never.....EVER(that's for you hippo) had a good support. Supports are just bad man. As a blanket statement. Even our resident diamond ADC would say the same. Supports are supports because they can't click the buttons man. And bad supports are bad supports cause they can't click the buttons are figure out other significant portions of the game.

Nothing I did that was very special, but both of these players were high-Platinum; there really isn't that big of a difference between the rankings in the "mid" ELOs.

How come you took so little damage to Yasuo's moves. I feel even when I'm someone like Garen Yasuo does waaaay more damage than that.

Rightm You didn't have anything tanky. So what's the catch. I feel that even if I'm straight up sunfire cape gatren, Yasuo still chunks me for half my health of that move.

Supports have possibly the biggest play making potential in the game. They are the ones who set up vision, get catches, peel for the adc, and do countless other things. I've had good supports, I've had bad ones. But good supports with a team with vague understanding of the game can carry everyone.

This is the problem. Every one of those "plays" requires someone else to do some work at a level of competency. I've set up vision all day just to watch the enemy on the map collapse on the split pushing adc and kill them. I've made picks just to to have my team focus the tank and get aced.

The core problem with support is that good supporting can go unrewarded much more than a good mid, so less people play support, so they're worse at it, so people trust supports less, so it goes unrewarded more and the cycle continues.

I play tanks and support classes in every game cause I GET force multiplication. But in league I'm just sick of supporting teams who don't watch their map and don't know when to go in on my engages or run on my disengages. When I support I play brand or lux because if my adc is trash I can at least wrest some control.

If you don't understand when to "get catches" , you're just getting caught. Everyone gets this cool little trinket that can set up vision, and Riot has limited individual ward placing on purpose, and with broken ass blue trinket, it basically makes support 's ward placement so much less important that it's not funny. How many times do supports actually peel? In my experience, very few. That's why Ez is the most popular carry. Cause he can get away alone.

So in otherwords, you don't play support. Got it.

I don't get the attitude on here that if you aren't plat you are trash. So only 5% of the community is not trash? This logic doesn't translate to any other medium. Soccer is super mechanical, but you're definitely not trash just because you aren't in the top 5% of soccer players, that is absolutely ridiculous. That is a horrible attitude to have about a

That's not comparable, though.

There's no way to get good in soccer unless you know all of the basic things and can stack on the advanced concepts around it. The amount of variables between games is far too low for you to get anywhere without doing it.

In League, there's a metric fuckton more variables in play that don't fit together so nicely. You can have a very jagged path of random shit that you know that can get you to a reasonably okay ELO, but you're still bad at the game since you don't know some really basic things about the game, or at least in a way that can be ported to other champions/roles/playstyles, etc. with only a small amount of readjusting. It isn't until you start hitting the higher brackets that it starts taking a lot of skill at your specific gimmick to override an overall knowledge of the game. This is why one-tricks exist in challenger, then suddenly can't even get out of mid-diamond once the meta heavily shifts away from their champion being viable. They don't actually know the game itself at a challenger level; they gimmicked their way to the top. It's also how I was able to rise an entire tier in the preseason with a consistently 70% win rate (which is very good if you're playing a few tiers above your ELO) with a single champion. I found a gimmick and abused it.

Work on getting at least 7 CS/m every game as ADC/Mid and keep your deaths below 4 whenever possible. It'll be hard

I already do that as adc.
