But I'm not a miller though. Sorry to deceive, first time I've tried something like that. Some looked like genuine town believing it, others made naked votes on pist, and in general once the validity of the "counter claim" was thrown into question things got muddy.

The player whose reaction came off the worst though was Mirhawk's:

Anyways, it seems the thing to do would be to String Pistachio.

Only thing is I'm a little worried about a scum counterclaim on Ami's part.
I mean what if Piss flips Miller? I don't see myself as being comfortable with either way we could go in that case.

Eh, what the hell.

I mean that has significant scum motivation, and also comes off as orchestrated. Set up the idea of me being scum doing that (which is arguably suicidal) and then just go with the easy mislynch anyway despite supposed misgivings...

I get that Mirhawk probably successfully made himself look town to some people by vocally doubling down on his position, but the part where he just shut down otherwise and defaulted to questioning the miller claim itself doesn't feel genuine.

I like pist's reaction to the claim. I don't think scum would actually counter by saying "well technically you DID post first" especially when that was factually incorrect anyway.

On the Miller thing: it's weird that Ami didn't claim in her first post, almost like she was "wait[ing] until everyone else ha[d] posted so [she could] be sure nobody else [was] an actual Town Miller." I don't know if we've seen enough from either to judge which one (if either) is telling the truth.
Reading on, 355 doesn't make sense - if you're actually Town Miller, you can be 99% sure the person you're CCing is Scum, so why on earth would you vote anyone else?? And 357 strongly implies she knows pistachio is Town??? 365: "I think 2 Millers is not likely" YOU MAKE NO SENSE

Surely Ami isn't so new she doesn't know how many Millers are likely in one game.

I've seen 2 millers before but I know that's probably not the norm, which is why I felt like trying out a fake counter claim would make for a bit of fun with potential telling reactions to sift through. From scum who would be much more likely to believe a Miller counter claim from town.

I don't get what you don't like about 357 and 365. I realize my credibility is already shot here but I don't think either was unreasonable from my POV.

The problem is you're making the assumption that I'm new without bothering to enquire into things like offsite experience. And a 2014 join date isn't "new". So you obviously had some inclination to look into it, and ended up concluding that sheeping the read at that point was scummy

Ignoring the fact that my initial post had seniors as a scumread right off the bat and have already explained why I decided to switch from withholding, to sheeping.

So I'm wondering what you're hoping to gain from this line of questioning as I feel I've clarified everything and you're talking in circles.
Do you have a clearer point to make on this topic - or would you like to ask me anything else which might server to better get an accurate read on me?

We've played together before several times. The purpose of alting was to break my own meta and keep myself in line. Give myself a break from same-old.

Seeing 17 pages already instills a profound sadness in me that cannot be described. I wanted this to be an exciting and fun game and I know it's obnoxious to complain about number of pages but I probably won't be engaged until the weekend.

I saw someone town reading me because I followed up on something which means that someone probably doesn't know how to tell us apart because I haven't followed up on anything yet.

I'll probably just leave it to evolve for now, but if you have thoughts so far I'm interested to hear them for reference.

Equally - Sakura what are you thinking there? Just a question at this point.

Well it would help if you were actually able to tell which hydra head posted it. I'm not being an asshole and I know this sounds incredibly rude, but I'm tired, sore and hurting and in the middle of a pretty hard subject paper, which I think I might regret after I learn about this in detail. Anyways that post wasn't made by Nacho, but that post was by Plotinus. The only reason why i know this is because of the game that Ploti referenced in a quote later on in this same post. It was a game that we hydra'd together before I decided to take my leave of mafia -- ( in fact I actually had semi took it during that game).

So the fact you are incorrectly putting posts onto the wrong heads is the first way to correct what shouldn't surprise you. :p

Without reading it I guess you can interpret it that way.

That implies you think I should commit to RVS town reads. The idea behind early town reads is to make someone I like comfortable so they either play scummier or townier since they feel more safe going for there wincon. It also makes scum panic that people are establishing town pools before they get to look good which makes them play worse.

I expect scum to start playing weird and town to play more aggressive from that. Sakura votes me for the sketchiest reasons and ignores all other players. Turns out she skimmed the thread so it made sense she ignored other players which is why I didn't feel comfortable committing to that scum read. In terms of pressure I wouldn't drop the read if I didn't want to vote anyone but I have seniors so I had better things to vote. Also I think everyone has pushed someone because they think someone is playing badly not because they are scum so it is just something I acknowledged.

This is the first post of beeboy's I've liked. I was considering voting him when I caught up. Didn't really like the point on sakura. The point on seniors is weird too, but I'm reading that as mostly ego/reaction based so meh.

What this is telling me is that they are scum and want to avoid looking awkward so they didn't immediately reply to me. They thought about a reply and wanted me to stop attracting attention and posted incredibly late.

I was starting to think you were just trying to get a reaction but this actually looks like you're trying to push it as a reason for voting them and exaggerating something that I can't fathom how you think it comes from scum.
